Yes, my previous romantic companion would tell me they'd be back after a shower or a movie, and then I wouldn't hear from them until the next day; meanwhile I waited for them to return all evening. Entirely disrespectful to not at least inform me of the change of plan.

I can't figure out how to join the Bokononist Fertility Cult of MB. Not. Happy. Because if there is a fertility cult here at MB, I want to be in it! I've got fertility covered. I just hope you members practice boko-maru regularly. Sumerian fertility goddess: Plump fertility goddess: Moderator cut: image removed Tlazolteotl, Aztec Goddess of Fertility: Makes it look fun, huh? Moderator cut: image removed Twins! It's hard to get much more fertile than that!

I went on break for like three or 4 days.
I took a plane home. I've been really homesick lately, so going home was great. I just didn't want to come back. It feels like everything's changed, I think I just liked school my first year BECAUSE it was my first year and not because I like school or because I like being far away. I just want to be closer to home and now I have no choice, I don't want to transfer, especially now that I've realized how good the academics are here. |

I think one way I reacted to college (and I was far from home, too) was to build my own new little "family" there. I was one of those people you may know who sets up home with a significant other, moving together into one or the other's dorm room. We become the "ol' married couple." I hope your group of friends gives you a lot of emotional support. In retrospect, I wish I would have relied on a group of friends more than a few people. Because when your significant other and you go splitzo, you realize, "Damn! I really don't know many other people very well!" People whom you liked but didn't have much time to be with. And then...poof! College is over, and everyone you cared about there is gone, and now you are homesick for college.

Lucky I don't have a significant other... I don't even have the time for that **** anymore, I have too much on my plate right now. I don't know, I just wish college only existed until I was mature and ready to be home. Until I was over that whole, "**** YOU MOM AND DAD, I'M FREE" stage. I'm definitely over that now. |
