The only thing that annoys me more than the Bristol kids who think their lives leap from the screen of Skins are the people from outside Bristol that probably now think you can't spend more than 5 minutes in Bristol without doing a ****tail of drugs and killing your own mother before going to a night club where you'll while away the last half hour of your high making love to an anorexic, buck toothed, vapid minded indie girl who was just waiting for someone equally drug addled to come along that she could part her legs for.
You must hate The Misfits then. I can't say I find it very appealing, can't get into it.

That sucks so bad, man. Don't give up looking though, it goes without saying that you're gonna have to get into work sooner or later so you might as well take this rubbish experience and use it as determination to go out there and look for work. Hope this doesn't sound patronising, but yeah just carry on looking, you'll find something.

on another forum, i'm arguing with someone about the existence of absolute truth (i say no).

i brought some of the oddities of quantum physics into things, like shroedinger's cat and young's double slit experiment. now he's befuddled and insists that the experiments must be faulty since they go against his common sense.

i wish i wouldn't get drawn into the silly online battles. it makes me angry when people stubbornly refuse to see the world how i see the world.

I've already had two rubbish experiences with useless employers this year. This one just makes me want to give up. I've been on benefits for two years and have been breaking my back actively looking for work and wanting work and getting nothing but **** in return.

Ah, have you ever considered joining one of those entry to employment programs? When I quite college I desperately wanted a job and I went to Connexions who referred me to an e2e centre just outside of where I live. They were actually awesome and helped me get a job within like 4 months of being there. Some people see signing up for things like that as being quite degrading, but it really isn't. I'd look into it if I were you because they helped me a lot.

Your interview skills and that are obviously not an issue, it's just unfortunate that the people you finally were employed by were moronic ****s. Keep trying though!

Last night was a friend from high school's 21st birthday. She was a year behind my friends and I, but we all took her mom's AP English class our Junior and Senior year so we became friends by association. Anyways all we ever seemed to talk about during dinner and at the bar was high school and gossip about who's been through what. I'm just sitting there drinking and smoking and thinking to myself... "fuck can we please shut up about high school already, it was four years ago, I didn't give two shits about these people we're talking about then and I could care less now". Any attempt I made to steer the conversation away from high school got me scolded at for "ruining nostalgia" so I just gave up, told them I had to piss, and then left out the back.

I'm probably going to hear about it today, but I think I was in the right because anymore of that torture and it would have been self-harm.

wait till your 10 year reunion. people who wouldn't give you the time of day back in school will treat you like a long lost pall. it's sickening

That's why I always avoided those things... I didn't care much for my high school classmates by and large, and was happy to see the end of them at graduation... why in hell would I go back to seeing those people?

Well, it'sa moot point for me now anyways... I moved countries and i don't have to see a darn one of 'em...

Never watched it. Do quite enjoy Being Human which is set in Bristol, if only for the bizarreness of a bank's office building which I walk past on the way to St Nick's market being the centre of the evil organisation that acts as the antagonist to the show's antiheroes.
