Pet Peeve of the day: When people say they're going to be somewhere, and then decide not to show up, without a call or explanation of some sort. It doesn't even have to be a good excuse, just something that keeps me from sitting in the same place for an extended period of time waiting around for nothing. And then, when you call them to find out where the hell they were, they act like you're the one with the problem, and they don't understand why you're so pissed off. Grrr...

Oh man I am so with you there on that one! That sort of behavior pisses me off so much...

I have a friend who is the master (mistress?) of this. I once waited for her for TWO hours. I would of course have normally just bailed but id spent 45 minutes getting there and wasnt about to turn round and go home. Also every time i called her she claimed she wasnt too far away, and once ive waited for so long it also doesnt make much sense to turn round, go home and accomplish nothing.

I cant remember now if she got the first round of drinks in but she bloody better have.

My built in dvd player on my LCD TV is not working!

It's a relatively NEW TV, too. I haven't even had it for six months yet. Every time I insert a disc (obviously the proper side) it will read the disc for a second or two and then eject it. No error message or anything. And I've tried so many different kinds of dvds, ones that worked before on this same tv/dvd combo. Today I went to Target and bought one of those lens disc cleaners, and when I inserted THAT into the player it........too was ejected. I'm upset because it looks like I'm going to have to phone the company, battle them over it for who knows how long (I have bad luck with this, I remember when my nearly brand new HP laptop had issues with the screen/picture it took me a week to get through to someone who was in the U.S. and willing to honor my warranty) it'll be before they agree to fix it. And I'll probably be without a tv while they do. And me taking apart the tv and fixing it myself is not an option because......well, I suck and am completely clueless with fixing stuff.

So yes, this is my bitch.

Ugh! I hate it when technology fails to make my life easier, thus voiding any purpose it had...

1st mistake:
You bought an LCD TV with a built in DVD player.

Out of curiosity, how much did you pay, and what is the size of the TV? (Diagonally)

Well this one is gold:
I was on queue for a trip to Hungary with my parents. They already had a guaranteed passage, and I was the only one waiting for a room.
Turns out I can't get a room for myself and there are no triple rooms, so if I go I'll have to share one with a 40ish year old man I've never seen in my life.
There's also the added bonus of me having to decide if I'm going or not tonight.
Lovely, isn't it?
/end of pathetic, self absorved rambling.

I'm off clubbing a bit later, but no-one else I know of is. No doubt that I'll run into a few people I know when I get there, but I just hate actually physically going to a club by myself if you know what I mean. Nothing earth-shatteringly irritating exactly, but just a bit of a hang-up of mine.
