They still haven't said whether I made the group or not.
I know that it's only been a few hours but I can't focus on my work. I can't focus. They can reject me, but I just need to know. I'm not going to be able to sleep. </3 Edit: Didn't make it. ^-^ Better luck next yearrr. [= Last edited by Arya Stark; 02-04-2010 at 10:10 PM. |

I saw Trainspotting in the theater over here and it didn't have subtitles or dubbing. In fact I've never seen or heard of a British film that was released with subtitles in the US. I have however seen that ridiculous dubbed version of Mad Max that you mentioned earlier. I actually find it semi-offensive that some jackass from the studio would think I'd have so much trouble understanding an Australian accent that I'd need a movie dubbed like that.

^ I have VHS and DVD of Trainspotting, and in the DVD they slow their voices down really slow, I guess so you can understand, but it sounds really weird to me. I could understand it just fine the first time around. I can't imagine needing subtitles. The Acid House was a little bit harder to understand for me though

Hehe, thanks.
I'll just watch them a lot, and figure out what I'll do to make it next year. |

I'm starting to realize I might not be as intelligent as I think I am.
In particular, my heat transfer class (a 400 level ME course) is way over my head, the entire course is based in differential equations (both partial and ordinal) and no matter how much work I put into the material I still can't seem to grasp it. Naturally it's absurdly complicated mathematics that I would never do on the job, but this is still a humbling experience in itself.

The same thing is happening to me, only it's with high school classes.
