New years is coming up, I hate it. I hate the jollity surrounding it, I hate how you feel obligated to pay ridiculous amounts just to get into a place that's really loud and crowded just so you feel like you have a social life. I hate how I'm being nagged to go out for it, I hate new years. I want to curl up in bed and watch a movie and be asleep before midnight, but oooh no I can't do that because of fucking fireworks that will just keep me up and remind me about a shite day. The end.

I'm the same. Glad I'm working actually. I hate the fireworks driving my old dog crazy she is fragile now.

Glad I'm not the only one.

Oh, I also hate new years resolutions. I will work out more, I will do this that and the other, just because the canander is changing. Ridiculous, if these people really wanted to do something, they wouldn't need the excuse of a new year.

Poor doggy start banging around the house, just to ease her into it.

I love New Years, but I don't pay ridiculous amounts to get into really loud and crowded places (ew), I'm having a quiet one at a friends house with a few beers and a bong. Perfect. There's no need to feel obligated to go out if you don't want to. I'd much rather curl up in bed than go out to some stupid club full of morons.

Yeah, when I used to have lots of dogs they ALWAYS used to escape on New Year's because of the fireworks. Now I keep them inside so it's okay.

Last time I went to a house party it was stit, I ended up drinking myself stupid and crying. I'm not really a crying person but when I drink on new years I cry like a bitch

I just drank so much because the party was so awful, I hated it. I'd rather go to a quiet pub but everyone I know is going to a club, so early night for moi. I never understood people that actually love new years, I can't see anything good about it

Aw, well I do know how you feel, most people I know head to some club in the city and I don't know what provokes them to do it - the city is crowded as ****, you have to pay a ridiculous amount to get in anywhere and then more for drinks, and it's all hot and sweaty, crap music playing, and drunk idiots everywhere. Definitely not my scene. I always go for a quiet one at home or at a friends' place, or down at the pub if there is enough people to go with.

My friends always joke that I'm a nanna, but I'd take an early night snuggled up in bed over some awful crowded club any day! So I know exactly where you're coming from.

I would love to stay at home on New Year's and just spend it like I spend any other day of the week. But nooooo.... I have to go now get some stuff with my friends for that awful home party they're having tomorrow.

I can already imagine it: Me, sitting on some sofa, bored to death, and failing to get drunk cause I'm so damn annoyed. Them, snogging their face off, then stopping to ask me why I don't try to enjoy the party and just go with the flow.

fun! fun! fun!

Is basically what I'll be doing. My mates who are organising the party are a bunch I haven't seen since the summer, so I guess it won't be so bad what with all the inevitable catching up and stuff.
