I could never work at a kill shelter. I'd feel personally responsible for not adopting every animal that got put down. Either that or I'd just get used to it. *shudder*
|
It's not the shelter's fault. They work with the reasources they have. The animals are sent there cause there's nobody else willing to take them. And they get sent way more than they can occupy.
It's society's fault for insisting on having pets but not properly managing them. Everyone who owns a pet is complicit. And no kill shelters also kill. They just have a "quota." |
That makes it exactly 0% better.
|
It's providing a necessary service and helping some animals. Honestly, you can work at a fast food place that buys factory farmed meat but not a place that is trying to help as many animals as they can? Makes sense.
|
I mean if you're a robot that doesn't understand irrational human emotions then yeah.
|
I just personally couldn’t do it. It’s not about whether it’s justifiable. It would upset me.

@ Batlord
Lol my job is definitely less immoral than yours. You just don't like to have to see the animals up close. You're the kind of person who will eat a steak but could never kill a cow. @ OH Fair enough |

Alright I misunderstood you. I'm so used to these animal rights ****s coming at us,I thought it was a moral statement.
I completely understand if you don't have the heart for it. I do. At least for the time being. Don't really have interest in it for a long term career thing. And I get sad at some of the dogs they put down. But some of them they save from the brink of starvation. It balances out. |
