Maybe tell the next one about your music projects? Honestly though if she wanted "your story" and wasn't into your actual story then it probably wasn't meant to be. But at least if you can distract her with you being a musical genius you could get laid before she lost interest.

Everyone lies a bit at first bro. Get your foot in the door and get them a bit emotionally invested before you lay out the baggage. Don't outright lie but lie by omission and give vague answers. Then when she starts to feel you then you break out with the "alright look I gotta tell you something"

What is your actual situation in terms of homeless. Like where do you stay, any sources of income etc.

she didn't even know that before sitting down right next to me, on the ground no less, absurdly close, but it almost seemed like she thought it made me even more powerful

as for the music well it's kinda awkward talking about that to anyone new, being like "yeah I got 600 albums"
