Dontcha just hate it when people feminize ships? "Her rudder needs fixing but she runs well before a storm." For some reason I find that kind of coy nautical chumminess quite nauseasting.

Contrariwise, I really like this lyric from a traditional sea shanty that describes a woman as if she were a boat:

^ Yeah, there's a particular zone that I don't like, when you're too tired to get pleasure out of anything, but not tired enough to sleep. Luckily for me that doesn't occur very often, and tbh being tired all the time is not a good sign, OH, although perhaps it's mainly a result of your job.

( In an essay George Orwell once listed a bunch of things that adults never tell children about old age, and one of them was "Feeling tired all the time." The sad thing was that GO was only about 43 at the time, and probably wrote that because he was suffering with tuberculosis. )
