I used to get pissed off at Barnes and Noble when I worked there because people would throw snark at us about how they can get books cheaper on Amazon. It used to really piss me off.

This shop produces worse people. At least with B&N you're talking a few bucks difference in price. I just had a 30 year old man who pulled up in a nice BMW put three paperbacks on the counter that totaled $10. These are books that are still very popular today and B&N sells them for like $16.99 EACH.

Dude has the f*cking nerve to ask me if he can get them all for $5. I said no. I'd like to stay in business and this c*nt goes "Well if you can't work with your customers, you're not going to be in business very long."

I told him I'm already selling them dirt cheap so there's no reason they should be any cheaper and the guy told me he can find them at garage sales for 25 cents. I almost jumped the f*cking counter.
