I use Gmail for most things, but I have a Hotmail where a lot of things still go through. Especially things related to paperwork and such. After a recent update, you can no longer copy plain text from a txt file into a mail that you're writing(WTF??!!). I use this basic, fundamental feature for so many things. This is the most retarded thing I've ever seen from a corporation that has a long history of retarded decisions. I think it's time to go through the trouble of migrating the rest of my contacts to Gmail.

I can still do it. What browser and OS are you using?

Firefox in Windows 7. It worked about a week ago, I know that for sure, but now, I can't paste. It just removes all lines immediately. I Googled the problem and found many very recent complaints about the same from other people.

I'm using Firefox 58 on MacOS and it works totally fine for me. Have you checked to see if the issue exists in other browsers for you?

Wow, this is weird. I tried Chrome and it works fine. Then, just to check, I do it again in Hotmail in Firefox, and it works. Earlier today, just before I complained, I already had tried shutting things down to give it another go, and it still didn't work.

In any case, I find Hotmail to be slow, annoyingly designed and just flat our inferior to Gmail. I only have my own laziness to thank for the fact that I still have so many things going through my Hotmail. Well, that and the fact that my Gmail adress is a somewhat unprofessional sounding one that I prefer not to use for certain things.

Just set up a new gmail and use that.
