Cause it's your girl and your committed to helping her with something then you just bail because "I don't feel like it and snow".

Asking someone to help you do laundry in a snow storm sounds like way more of a dick move than denying them.

That isn't the full story though. I told her the first time she asked but I don't like going out while it is snowing then she turns around and tries her guilt tactics so I agree but then like 10 mins. later while I'm trying to get ready to go out. I notice that I'm pussy footing around and not really that amped about going so I let her know that I'm not going to help. It's not like I didn't tell her anything and just bailed that way. I sent her a text AND called. She is just mad that I said no for once because she's always guilt tripping me into things and I end up just going along with what she wants.

Is this the full story? Cause it really didn't change my mind. I'm sorry you never put your foot down, but committing to something and then bailing is lame, especially with your significant other. You should have said no in the first place. I'd be on your side if you said no to begin with and she had a hissy fit.

I said no then yes then no. The only reason I changed to yes was her trying to guilt trip as usual. It's fine you can take her side all you want.

Reneging on a snow storm laundry date does not in any way sound like a dick move. It just sounds like common sense. Or at least like something that a normal person would do cause they don't want to go out into a snow storm.

I mean if a buddy asked me if I wanted to help him do something as dumb as laundry when there was snow on the ground and I just said yeah not thinking about it, but then I went out to smoke a cig and realized I was not about to do that, then I'd have to be a moron to go ahead and do it just cause I said I would. We're not talking about a business arrangement. We're talking about laundry.

I will

Next time just say no to begin with, don't let her walk all over ya. Being guilted into ish is nonsense. I'd call her ass out on it.

It would be grand if a certain member of my household could go one night without waking me up (and leaving messes in the kitchen) repeatedly, seeing as I have to work early in the mornings and he does not. I already cook, clean and care for my younger brother two weeks out of the month; I do not have the energy to do so for yet another full-grown man (who is perfectly capable). Maybe I would if I were able to get more than a few hours of sleep per night. This seems to be my lifelong curse-- ending up living with people who are complete and utter tornadoes with no consideration whatsoever. I don't know why I even bother doing certain things when there is never any reciprocation.

I wish the store would give me more hours, (around my schedule constraints) because being in this house for too long each day might make me spontaneously burst into flames at any moment.

My suggestion: Stop cleaning. Maybe you'll be so torn about it that you'll do it in your sleep without realizing just like you did with cheese. You would be the ultimate multitasker.
