Mmhmm. You mean nieces in the same way that people say "uncle" or "auntie" to make strangers seem less threatening to their children, right?

Hardly. Have known their dad since he was 16. Have known their mom since they first started dating. Have vacationed with them. Have done some other "stuff" together that would make for a killer Penthouse forum letter. Spoke to mom and dad at the hospital a couple of hours after the girls were born. They eagerly look forward to getting a special birthday gift from California every year and we get hand made thank you cards in return. We've gotten new pictures to post on our fridge every year since they were newborns.

Remember this picture from a couple weeks back? That's their slide and dad.
