I was talking to my sister from back east this morning. My 84 year old Dad who's saddled with severe dementia and other health issues is in a nursing home. She visits him often and told me that as soon as a pretty nurse enters the room his eyes light up, and his focus darts right to the girl.

It never ends.

My Pandora electronic station has thrown a curve ball and is playing Beyonce's "Drunk In Love" for the first time. It has 284,253,905 YouTube views as of this writing. I just don't get it. It doesn't sound like anything. Baffled at how this is even considered commercial material. Nothing catchy about it.

If it is Beyonce that you're speaking of, while dat bootay covers enough real estate to encompass 284,253,905 YouTube views, that is still no explanation for the mystery of her popularity.

I listened to the song w/out preconceptions, and afterwards, I have to words: still baffled.

Today a customer told me it would be nice if I smiled more and if I were more polite. I don't disagree but there are days when I just can't pretend I'm not ****ing miserable.

I work front of house now so... same thing. I can't deal with people sometimes, I'm better at grunt work.

That's even better. I believe everybody should work food industry and retail once in their lives. I did my time in that and I'm good!
