Right then, if you insist: Bought the ice cream when it was sunny and warm (that one day in Ireland, you know...) but didn't feel like eating it. Just got it in case I got the urge. Box is about the size of two tubs of butter, here anyway. Weather soon turned cold and rainy, me no want ice cream. Did the food shopping, got a lot of freezer food my sis needed. Had to choose some things to get rid of (sell-by/never will eat/just decide to throw it out in preference to something else etc) and the ice cream was there, taking up too much real estate. So out it went. You've never visited Ireland, have you? Plus it was a big tub. Probably six or more large bowls in it. I'm not a pig plus I did not want to be sick.

IceCreamGate continues...
I didn't want any. I'd just come back from the city centre with the shopping and the last thing on my mind was eating ice cream. Why should I have forced myself to eat something I didn't want? I know waste is terrible but this is the same sort of attitude, isn't it, that makes it unthinkable that you should leave a full pint before leaving the pub, usually resulting in a pint being banged back in the last few seconds and making you sick. I don't like waste, but I would not force myself to eat something just so it didn't have to get thrown out.

Off the top of my head recently I've eaten a packet of bacon (16 rashers), two pots of cottage cheese, taramasalata (with a spoon), half a tin of tomato puree (on it's own with a spoon l0l) This was cos they were going out of date though and had to be eaten. A bowl of ice cream isn't gonna make you sick tbh. A whole tub, maybe. |
