You're looking for "e.g.," which is a list of examples. This should help you out.

I've got an error sitting right now in a thread. I used spurned where I should have used spurred. But I'm just going to leave it, and that's that.

You can use your Americanized BS all you want, but if you're adding a comma to something in quotation marks, then you should leave the comma outside the marks, since it is not a part of the quote.

Also, my faux pas was far less egregious than yours.

Oh baby I'm so sorry. Have you something for the pain? I hope it's nothing serious. No, it won't be anything serious. I won't let it be.

Seriously? People usually start singing "Manic Monday" when I say it. If I said it. Or had any friends to say it to. Neither of which I do.

No, I like it. It has class.

I am more than happy to never edit or proofread anything I post on this site, but I don't think you want that. I don't think anyone wants that.

Still no one has set that guy as an avatar. Seems like a good troll opportunity.

@Troll - What are the first two words of the poster? Not sure what you're getting at with it.

Well if you don't know Father Ted it won't matter.
The two words are "Down with" (hey! Never realised that: very apt for you!) so it's "Down with this sort of thing".
I'm referring to the one Dougal (on the left) is holding which says "Careful now" and it's in response to your troll comment about parents being cattle. As you would say, just a joke to defuse what could have been a flare up had I chosen to see it another way.
