If nothing matters, than doesn't that make everything matter that much more? I kind of find the idea of inevitable mortality comforting; if I really am going to die, and everything I do will be forgotten, then I might as well enjoy the time that I have. No matter how much pain or pleasure you feel, no matter how many wonderful or horrible things you do, it all just turns into dust, so why worry? At that point, death isn't really a scary be-all-end-all, it's more like a natural function that occurs as matter constantly flows through the universe, and isn't really an "ending" to anything as nothing ever truly has a "beginning".
