I've been trying to be on my best behavior and work some **** out. Slipping at the workplace again has kinda given me no other choice. Between that and tryna meet someone I'm pretty much booked. Plus MB isn't all that entertaining anymore and most of the music I like isn't really popular here.

There is nothing wrong with trying to meet someone bro, I want you to be happy, but uh, some days you have a hard time tying your shoes. Not trying to be a dick, but I think once you've got it together at least a tiny bit your meeting someone might just be that much easier. I mean you can meet someone in the state you are in sure, but do you really want to date someone as fragmented as you are. I just see such a destructive relationship if it's born out of misery loves company. I only know cause I've been there. Spend some time getting to know yourself, most days you wake up and have no clue who you are. And I mean that. PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE MOUTH IS, and seek out that doctor. Take some fucking pride in yourself, and being alive. You were blessed as **** to be born here, and have the issues you are having. I don't know a single person that doesn't have issues that strike them to the core, but why you are letting yours cripple you I'll never understand. You do the drug brother, don't let the drug do you. And MB has really gotten weak. But nobody wanted to listen to my ideas on how to ****ing fix that. Said I was mean and a snob n ****. No motha****as, a couple people can change the ****ing dynamic of a place and it's kinda sad that nobody has the backbone to say "Hey As*sh*le, cut that **** out, tow the ****ing line the bar is here, you are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down here, step it up or step off.:" Now I love just about everything you play for me in plug so wtf are you talking about nobody likes your ****. Lately we have had a rash of people that think the 60s is the the greatest ****ing thing since sliced bread, and that is wonderful, I ****ing love 60's ****. I adore it but dude, branch out and learn some other ****, that's part of the reason I won't really plug to much , that or it's death metal hour.... REALLY IS ALL THAT ****IN SCREAMING NECESSARY!? LIKE ALL THE TIME. ****ing trying to find that adaptive balance needed to keep posting here but all I keep seeing is that bat, frown,ki, dvwl over compensating with their postings. That and a lot of our awesome members either lurk, and don't talk, or just ain't here at much anymore, (Im looking at you Dj, The Phantasmo, Katsy, Mojo, Jackhammer, Engine, Manky , Freebase Urban, Vanilla, Bob, WWP, and Exo . All you people need to come back more ****ing often, speak up or whatever. Paul dude is your brain healed yet cause you are needed as well.) That and we haven't had a really great troll since 216. Let me put it this way 216, when he tried, and actually wasn't banned and just makes desperate attempts from the shouty for attention. But what do I know I just come here to **** on noobs right? Text me brah. I love you.

Dear neighbour,
Thank you for setting off that firework display last night. I love being awakened at three in the morning to explosions, bright flashes, and the smell of gunpowder. And there's no feeling better than going to school on fumes. It gives a whole new meaning to the song "Wednesday Morning, 3 AM". Love, Pet_Sounds

2.) The sixties thing I'm totally on board with though. I have my cravings for garage rock every now and again, but I generally know that if I'm plugging with Oriphiel, Pet_Sounds, or Neo that I'm going to be tuning in and out when their songs come on. 3.) I don't plug enough to feel like I'm your specific target over death metal -- and I try to mix it up just so that I'm not just torturing people -- but if I'm just playing nothing but things that I feel will cater to the group, then what's the point? Just like I wouldn't ask Oriphiel to quit with all the sixties stuff, I don't think I should feel obligated to not play a little extreme metal. I do try to put a limit on just how extreme the music I'm playing is, depending on who else in there though -- unless I'm just ****ing with people of course. Quote:
And it's just always been that way. Old guard moves on due to life, boredom, or just getting left behind when their particular musical interests fall out of trend for the moment, and then n00bs pop up to take their place. There's usually a period during and after summer where this is strongest, due to summer vacation and then getting caught up with school, but that's just the natural cycle. And as far as I'm concerned, we have as strong a n00b crop this last year as we ever did. Honestly, if you're noticing that the "Old Guard" (Jackhammer, Mojo, Urban, etc, aren't posting as much, then it's because you don't realize that -- as a two year veteran of this site -- you are now the new Old Guard. In a year or so, when you likewise move on to some extent, either temporarily or permanently, people like Pet_Sounds and Oriphiel will be wondering where the **** you been recently. Besides, Jack, Mojo, and Urban were cutting down on posting even before you joined. I'm pretty sure Jackhammer almost dropped right off the grid just before I joined, due to personal ****. True, at one point, long before I was a member, there seemed to have been some kind of Golden Age, where members like Jansz, Urban, Jackhammer, etc, were the face of the forum and there was a greater focus on in-depth music discussion, but as far as I can tell that was just one period. Looking at old threads from before my time, a large majority of actual musical discussion from the distant past were even more shallow and disposable than the bull**** Lounge spam that goes on these days, and with none of the personality or camaraderie. Quote:
True, certain members with high-profile personalities have left or been banned, and that's changed much of the dynamic of the Lounge areas (like Sansa and Dirty's newest incarnation as butthead), but that's happened before. Personally, I think the Lounge never quite recovered a lot of its zany personality after Il Duce/Howard the Duck died, which I'm pretty sure was before your time. And yet the Lounge endures and continues to annoy certain members just like it always has and always will. TL;DR There are always people who claim that the site has been going downhill since they joined, and it always picks up in some way or another. Just ride the wave and go about your business.

As far as I know it's not a beef. I'm too used to pointing this out at least once a year to see it as anything other than just another part of the forum cycle. I do agree with a point I think you made a while ago about Facebook and the like hurting forums. I'm currently on a dying forum where a large part of the decline in posting is because many of the members just talk to each other on Facebook.
