I've taken 2 doses of cyclobenzaprine (sp?) today and the pain in my back (more specifically, next to my tailbone on the left side) still remains. I'm even kicking back with some hard cider. Nothing is helping anymore.

I know that feels.

I've pretty much given up on my crutches and the more I think about it sober the better I feel. It's weird being so dependent on things that are harmful but feel helpful and when they start to fail you... bad feels. I can't recommend weed enough though, I feel way more aware of myself and others if I just stick to getting baked. The only thing I don't like about it is it can make me too complacent and reclusive.

I'm irritated as **** right now because when I first got this job I thought I was going to have insurance. But apparently so few of my coworkers need/want it that my bosses appear to see it as unnecessary. Or they really are broke and business is not doing well. Seems I'm the scapegoat for that and it might be justified but therapy right now is more than I'm willing to pay for without insurance and I really can't control my less commendable features all the time.

Stupid.

Vitamin C and hydration ain't gonna hurt one bit. And the AK Plus will slam your ass to sleep. Rest = good.

Vitamin C doesn't have any scientifically proven benefits with regards to colds.

I've heard the opposite from pretty much everywhere I have looked / people I have talked to / doctors. No idea where you're getting that info from.

It's an old wive's tale that's really taken swing in the public. Being part of the public, doctors are susceptible to the myth as well.

Interesting. No wonder i've never heard those claims. However, I have always had good luck with Vitamin C when i'm sick. It could just be a mental thing, but hey, whatever works.

The mind is certainly a powerful thing. It sucks being cynical because nothing helps anymore.

But you still get to ruin the joy in the lives of the gullible. There is nothing sweeter.

Yes it does they are just miniscule. You're a liar.

Also, this article directly addresses it's effectiveness versus the common cold, not it's overall impact on health.

Quote:
According to this research, the average adult who suffers with a cold for 12 days a year would still suffer for about 11 days a year if that person took a high dose of vitamin C every day during that year.

For the average child who suffers about 28 days of cold illness a year, taking daily high-dose vitamin C would still likely mean about 24 days of cold illness.
Anyways, my mom is a nurse and she always tells me to take Zinc. I never notice a difference but apparently it's supposed to help better than Vit C... http://www.medicinenet.com/script/ma...articlekey=917
