i can concede that i should be fired but i still don't want to be fired. but you have to keep in mind different places have different standards. the last place i worked for was another 12 hour shift mundane job and people fell asleep there all the time. if they fired everyone who did they would basically end up ****ing their own business up.

edit - sort of reminds me of what a coworker told me about this other factory job that is around here. basically everybody who works there is on either coke or meth. the bosses basically know about it but look the other way because when normal sober people get hired onto that job they usually wash out after about 3 days then quit. if there is an accident then they drug test you and blame it on the drugs and fire you to avoid liability. you would be surprised at the kind of **** bosses will look the other way for when it comes to these ****ty temp jobs.

Um, sorry but I believe this is possibly the most stupid thing I have ever heard in my life. You don't want to be fired? WTF wants to be fired? It's like those annoying idiots who say "I came to win this" or "I hate to lose"! Jesus man! Do you know ANYONE who LIKES to lose? "Now guys, let's go out here and do our very best to LOSE! YEAH!"

Also, if you're falling asleep in work, I agree. Fire your arse. Learn to stay awake; they're not paying you to sleep.

Edit: Please nobody mention South Park's hockey team. I mean in reality.

Parents like losing to their children. :D

lol like i said i can't blame them if they fire me but i'm still hoping they won't. i don't understand why it's getting you so worked up though. i swear you need to get laid or something.

edit - and yea i'm not going to let myself fall asleep again. it's the first time it happened to me and i basically fell asleep standing up. like i said 12 hour shifts and mundane work can do it to you. i am going to show up with one of those 5 hour energy drinks from now on just in case i get in that trance again.

I'm not in the least worked up, just amused that you would state such a blindingly obvious fact, that nobody would ever WANT to get fired from their job, and then to ally it to the phrase "I can't blame them if..." Like, it's a total non-sequitur. Is all.

But that thing annoys me, yes. "I hate to lose". Hold the front page!

Fixed. :D As in, when they move out obviously, not in the case of a missing child.

Also, what do you mean by the original post? Parents don't like losing to their children. Haven't you ever watched "American Dad"?

I notice you didn't deny needing to get laid... http://atheistnetwork2.com/images/sm...ace_smiley.png

it's not as blindingly obvious as you might think... i've had jobs in the past where if they fired me it would be a sort of neutral experience. jobs where you can swap them out with another equally **** job in no time. the only reason i want to keep this one so bad is the proximity to my house and the fact that i only have to work 3 days a week and basically still get a full paycheck.
