Speaking of loud people and this being a bitching thread... It really sucks when you gotta work at 7am and your obnoxious mother is blaring YouTube from a ****ty laptop and laughing uproariously until 4am. 20 feet away in a tiny condo with paper thin walls.
You would think after 8 years I'd be used to it. Nope. If I manage to fall asleep before she gets home I'm good, I can sleep through her ****, but if I'm still awake like tonight I'm ****ed.

I guess I shouldn't complain because she lets me live with her for free, but I really look forward to finally getting the **** out for good. Soon now.

I always thought you lived with your man. And I know that feeling when I'm trying to do my HW in the dining room and the tv is LOUD AS F*CK in the living room with no walls between. Why are old people so god damn def?
Wish I had a desk in my room. |

I do on weekends, and we are getting a place soon. Still with her for now though.

My band's headlining a variety/cabaret show at a whiskey bar tonight. Sound check was at 6, we take the stage at 10:30. My band mates are both only 20 and were told they're not allowed to be at the venue before or after our set. ****.

Wow that's pretty ****ed.
Drinking age laws are so weird. In A'murricuh yous can be shipped off overseas to fight a war that has nothin to do with ya but you can't have a drink. Or even play a show at a bar. Because that'd be immoral. Youngsters drinkin alcohol! Next thing you know they'll start taking DRUGS!

Yup. Drinking age was 18 when I was growing up. And most of the packies (Boston slang for alcohol stores) would sell to you if you were at least 16. Them was loose times.
Played a bar gig once at 16 where our pay was free booze.

I feel your pain. We've been denied shows with similar local bands (one case was free jazz the other noise punk) because of our age.
