Also, I am done with clothing stores thinking that short = skinny
Like hell I'm not skinny! I wear size 7 pants! Bigger hips does not mean longer legs! Jebus it's called being hourglass figured Nd short people can be that, too! And don't get me started on bra sizes. Theres even a blog movement dedicated to 28 band bloggers that have big cups, you'd think la senza would get the message rather than claI'm I'm a 36d
I have the opposite problem. Tall = fat, apparently.

And that's why sewing is an important skill! Womens body types are really diverse but most clotyes stores care more about making sweeping generalizations to get more sales. The internet is your friend but shipping to canada sucks!

They make everything proportionately most of the time. Most of my clothes actually fit really well, but only after I pored over store shelves. And I just keep going to the same stores because I know they have what I need. Shoes are a bigger issue for me, actually. Size 12.5 - 13 women's, and in wide. I just buy men's running shoes and my sandals are custom Birkenstocks, but for dress shoes it's hard to find stuff without spending a lot of money. Apparently Nordstrom in the US has those sizes, but they won't be in Canada for another 2 years. But they ship here if you buy online, which is pretty great.

Shipping to Canada does suck for the most part. Some companies don't ship here or there are ridiculous shipping costs since it's technically international. And then half of them will ship UPS which is just terrible for everyone, lol.

I've learned to knit so now I'm going to make socks, gloves, hats, and all that fun stuff. I'm alright at sewing - I'm sure I could make a shirt or something, but I've never attempted it. I'm just good enough to stitch a seam or patch a hole up.

They will be but I guess we'll just have to be patient. They're taking over some Sears locations in Toronto. Once they're here it will probably also be easier to ship stuff from them if there are no nearby stores.

And likewise, they have regular, non-ugly shoes made for giants like me. I'm so fucking excited, you don't even know it.

I've never seen anyone so excited about Nordstrom.

I begrudgingly admire Nordstroms, I can't afford to shop there and have little to zero interest in high fashion (or any fashion), but they wrote the book on the worlds best customer service.

I just heard from my cousin that they sell larger shoes and clothes and have more available than at other stores. When you're as tall as me, you can't exactly be choosy. So if they offer more options for me, that's excellent.

I was interviewed for a position in the shoe department of our local Nordstrom Rack, and I was taken through the stockroom where all the (backstock) shoes were. I couldn't believe it. They really do have everything you could possibly imagine and more.

(But I've never shopped there.)

I'm really starting to hate Christmas, ****ing ****, can't I just buy people things I think that they would like? Secret santas are probably the most pointless way to buy someone a gift, and they were probably devised by some woman in her 40s who hasn't been laid in decades. It also doesn't help that people are pestering the **** out of me for some sort of christmas list, to me it just tacks on to the even longer list of **** I need to deal with. I DON'T CARE IF I DON'T GET ANYTHING FOR CHRISTMAS JUST LEAVE ME ALONE FOR ****S SAKE, STOP ****ING PESTERING ME WITH YOUR CONTRIVED BULL****. LEAVE ME ALONE FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.
