starfux are making me cut my hair for a barista job i might not even get because i look too threatening with unnatural hair and my hair is my pride and joy and i'll have to have a pixie cut and look like a 14 yo boy

The starbucks near my house has 3 employees with crazy hair - one girl has bright pink and orange hair, one has a sort of undercut thing happening but both sides are shaved, and there's a guy with purple hair that's cut into mohawk mullet thing. So them makimg you cut your hair is ridiculous.

they made my friend pay 100$ to get a salon to dye her hair back to a more natural colour because the colour red she dyed it was "too dark and unnatural". They're super strict here.

im not familiar with your hair but i feel like the only person who agrees with companies who wont hire ppl with outrageous hair/piercings/whatever

only a 4" portion of the front of my hair is dyed green. if i put my hair in a ponytail, youcan't see it. It's hardly noticeable or threatening. it doesn't even look messy or anything, and most people even forget I dyed my hair. I really don't think employers should judge me by dead cells coming out of my scalp

oh... well i actually agree with them then. i mean if you are gonna dye your hair or look purposely unnatural thats jsut a consequence i feel.

i really don't think they should make me lose my hair over a minimum wage job

i would understand if it paid more than it did, or if i was doing any respectable work, but at the secondcup down the road one of the baristas has an SS tat on his neck.
