I leave for school in a few weeks. Nobody around me really seems to think I'm gonna do well. I'm honestly scared out of my mind because I know if I **** up the first semester, my mom's probably gonna give up on me. It's a bummer because she picked out the school for me and just dropped the bomb on me yesterday that the first semester is my one chance. I have a brain I guess but I'm not really a "scholar", I feel like I got lucky with all my test scores and I'm not going to be able to handle any of this.
My mom told me to treat it like a full time job. 8 hours every day of studying including classes. I think I'm just gonna stay in my dorm room and not talk to anyone, I'd rather have a future than a social life. ugh

Sorry to hear that T. I really hope you enjoy your first semester. I know there is a lot of pressure on you but you're a smart girl and obviously are prepared to put the work into it. You should allow yourself time to meet new people and socialise because otherwise you might get lonely. I remember when I lived in a dorm I made my room really pink and interesting, maybe you could make it your own style for motivation?

No one can tell you how intelligent you are, you've just got to believe in yourself and I can see you succeeding!
