Hermione, which brand of hairdye do you use? I'm really looking for one that gives off the lighter lilac colour but sticks really well.

Directions lilac slid off my hair so I done it with Violet and ended up with like Cadbury purple hair I know this is your expertise

So someone just told my mom that my brother shouldn't be getting disability benefits from the government. Whatever. F*ck that person and anyone else who thinks that way. They can all go to hell.

Hermione, I was recently reading a local news story about a "blue haired Goth" who was refused entry to a bar into the grounds of their policy on not admitting those in "fancy dress".

BD, I obviously dont know your brothers circumstances fully, but some peoples views on what disability benefits are and those who claim them is frankly shockingly inaccurate.

I agree Mojo, totally. My brother is 14 and is a high functioning autistic. He's in special education but he does not do very well in school, he's easily frustrated with the material especially math, science and French. It's unlikely that he will go to university, maybe community college, but he will definitely need that support for the rest of his life. Especially as my parents get older (they are already in their 50's and my dad will be retiring within the next 10 years).

It seems that this attitude only surfaces when these people find out that the recipient has some kind of invisible illness (autism, mental illnesses, etc).

Bingo, pretty much.

There are people who have this attitude with more noticeable disabilities, but I personally think it's fair to say that most you would encounter would be quicker to judge someone with a less obvious disability.

I used to work in state benefits, not strictly disability benefit, but a lot of the claimants I would encounter also claimed that and the two kind of overlap in a lot of cases. I also currently attend a state funded college that provides free vocational courses of education, primarily to the disabled. Those who meet the criteria range from those with epilepsy, mental health issues and depression through to retired war veterans that have been injured, either emotionally or physically while in service.

Thats a vast range of people, all with dramatically different conditions and ailments, and they all have stories to tell. The one thing they all seem to have in common is discrimination from ignorant people, and most of these stories involve the phrase "Well, you dont look disabled.

Hahaha it really is, I've had my hair literally every colour of the rainbow. I use a dye called Ion Brights, I have Magenta and Purple on my head right now, I strictly use only that now because they always turn out so vibrant and they stick really well. I think they only have them at Sally's though and apparently they don't have that in Scotland (they do in Ireland apparently)

However:
2 Tube Intense Color ion Brilliance Brights Semi Permanent Hair Color U Choose | eBay
This says they ship worldwide, I think they're a bit pricier than what I pay (normally 4 bucks a tube) but it'd definitely be worth it!! It's the best hair dye I've ever used.
Second best would be: Punky Color « Jerome Russell You might be able to find that across the pond but I am not totally sure. The colours that gives you are great but they will dye your skin and whenever you wash your hair they'll keep staining you.

My nipple hair pisses me off. It's in a circle and it's just wide enough that my nipples should fit exactly right in it. But the hair is a half inch too low and it looks like it's hanging off my nipples. My knockers have knockers if you will.
