I've seen the cats on a leash thing before , it does look odd at first but it's quite common round here now; I've seen it loads.

They are definitely nice animals; very majestic and smart, I can see why people like them so much.

I used to hate them until about a year or two ago though, was always more of a dog person because we lived next door to an aggressive cat who would scratch all the time. Now it's the opposite, I can't stand dogs, way too dirty and they all stink. Whereas cats are clean and a lot of them actually smell nice.

They are smart and have amazing personalities. Dogs are smelly! That's why I can't stand patting them, even though it makes them happy.

Well here I am bitching about the legal system, hopefully for the last time. Final court case tomorrow. It's all a big fucking trap and it's a bunch of thieves at the top finding ways to strike you from as many directions as possible. 100's of hours, thousands of dollars, and people telling me I'm inferior and condescending because of my life choices. For what, 2 lousy grams of hashish! If they can control it, they're sure as hell going to exploit the hell out of it, you have a problem they say, we KNOW you have a problem, and WE'LL fix it for you with a universal set of institutions where all the money they suck out going to the same place. It's a black hole that you have to buy and conform out of, a big fucking scam that makes the wealthy richer, and those who participate will get their petty checks and pats on the back. Well take your laws and shove it, we'll find our way around, live your own way because your person is all you have to yourself nowadays, break down the faulty machine and make your own rules, cause quite frankly, you all look like the dipshits to me, no one really wants to help, your just moving the next involuntary client, getting another point on your record.

Bitching not about work, but my near-inability to get myself to work. I've been having a nice spell of depression, so getting out of bed is hard enough. Getting out of bed by 10 in the morning to shower, then leave by 11, drive an hour to work, then spend eight hours getting yelled at by customers on the phone only to have to drive an hour back home then do it all again the next day...

I'm really not sure how much longer I'm going to be able to find the motivation to keep doing this, but I know I have to. What I'm having to tell myself right now is that I need this job to save up my money to do something I really love and get the hell outta here, and that's worked so far. I'm just so depressed and stressed and pissed off at everything right now.

I've been in that situation (not doing what you do though, I can't even imagine) and, believe me, getting out is paramount. You need to spend every living moment finding a different / even slightly better job. Or else. It will only get worse until you do.

Also, fuck all of you dog haters. Dog People vs. Cat People has never made any sense to me. I'm waiting for my dog to die (he's very old) and both me and my cat (she's relatively young) will be incredibly distraught when he does.

I missed a call on my iPhone this morning, and when I reached over to see who it was, I hit the home button and the screen went white. After that it started vibrating like crazy and the screen went black. It continued to vibrate for about an hour and a half, and now it's completely dead. Anyone know if this sort of thing works itself out or if I should take it to the Apple store?

Weird. Have you tried charging it for a while? Like plug it in the wall or dock and don't touch it for a few hours. That might revive it a bit and you can further diagnose the problem from there. That's never happened to me though... Maybe you should just go to the Apple store, they're pretty good with helping customer's problems. Also how old is your phone and did you get Apple Care with it? It could still be under warranty.

I've been charging it for an hour to no avail. I've only had it for about a month, and I take pretty good care of it. It's still under warranty so I'm going to take it to the store tomorrow if it's still acting up.

Yeah I would take it in then. It may end up being fine or you may have gotten a defective one (in that case I think they'd give you a new one since it's under warranty.)

Is it the iPhone 5? I have the 4 and haven't had a problem with it.

So the compressor on my fridge was never normalizing (quieting down after it begins to cycle) so I decided to unplug it and do a basic cleaning job. When I plugged it back in nothing came on. I checked the breaker just to make sure I didn't trip anything, and then the outlet to make sure it's still working, but now I have no fridge. It's fortunate I've been too busy with settling in to do much grocery shopping, but now my beer is warm, and I have to eat canned food for the next few days while I wait to see if management will take care of it, or if they're going to use this obscure bullshit language in the lease to say it's my problem.
