No Rez, besides that 10 minute break, I am stuck in the main cash register my whole shift. And ten minutes isn't enough to even piss, eat, and have a smoke. I'm not the only one at work grumbling.

I hear you Anti. But I feel like not only should I not have to put up with it, but the rest of the country really needs to catch up on their breaks. It's not my fault the other 80% of the country is getting treated like slaves. Where I come from we don't put up with this sort of thing. We work hard, we should get treated fairly. If it's not fair, fine, but I know the workers at Safeway and Albertsons and even Walmart are getting their breaks... I know a few cashiers.

I'm getting bloody annoyed with my dad. I call him on his birthday, goes to voicemail, so I leave him a message wishing him a happy birthday and tell him about my new Skype number so if they see it they know it's from me. A week later I call again so I can wish him a happy Father's day, but it's the same deal, rings and then goes to voicemal. So I repeat the process, wish him a happy father's day and let him know (again) about my Skype number. I call him the other week just to touch base, my step mum just had a surgery so I want to check up on her health, same fucking thing. I call him just now and again, rings, and then goes to voicemail. My friends are the same way, it always has to me to call or text.

^Hey, man, I don't quite know to say, but I sort of get how you feel. I'm really sorry about that.

I work anywhere from 5-7 hours, no breaks at all. Probably not strictly legal, but I'm free to eat my lunch and piss when it gets slow, which it often does.

It doesn't get slow at the grocery store until winter ;)

Anyway, no big deal. Just taking my hours as they come and going to look for a job that divvies breaks properly. Hell, maybe I'll find a job where I can get back to getting paid to listen to my music and smokin pot. Need to get back into the gas station biz.

What you need to do is secure another job then quit the one you are at if they wont give you the time you need/want. I know its easy to say, and hard to do. I am in the same position at a job I hate, with no chance of moving up.

That's the plan. I'm gonna work here at least through this year, though. I've never worked a job less than a year. It looks good to have at least 2+ everywhere, but I'll make an exception this time.

My original purpose for posting in the first place was to see if they were breaking any laws or just slipping through loopholes. Its as I expected... they're walking the fence. Whatevas.

I'm going to have no ipod for a while, the bottom centimeter or so on my touch screen wasn't working. On the upside I'll probably get the latest model. :) every cloud has its silver lining.

The iPod 4G? Or is there an even newer one now?

My neighbors are having a block party.

Let me explain why that's annoying. There are two kinds of people on my block: the 40% which I belong to, who have all moved into the new and rehabbed homes on the block within the past few years, and the 60% who have lived here their entire lives. The 60% don't like the new people and so they do things like throw block parties and don't invite any the 40%. This particular block party is set up right in front of my house. If I opened my front windows I could literally toss burgers on their grill from my living room. And of course no block party would be complete without an extremely loud sound system right outside my door blasting super-shitty R&B and hip hop so loud it's vibrating shit in my house. Good times.
