Just be careful with whatever you tell him.
I was doing great at one job, great sales numbers and everything. So when they asked me to come up to a meeting, (they told something a long the lines "to get more info about the job from our newer workers"- should have been suspicious at this point since i had been there a year) I was sure it was a positive thing. They asked me polite questions and complimented me on my performance. Then subtly asked me about company policies and my view on them. It was pleasant for a while but then it seemingly went on for over an hour. It was 2 upper management people, one was in front of me and one behind which should have given me some indication, but i had joked with them before and considered them "work friends" i guess. Anyhow the environment in the room got relaxed and they started opening up and i figured whatever this exchange was it was finally over. One of the managers, a pleasant lady(or so i thought) then asked to be excused for one moment she just had to go to i dont even remember. Next thing the supervisor of the entire place walks in and tells me i have been terminated for violating a company policy regarding coupons. He says they have the computer records to show that i havent been punching in the coupon barcodes manually. I tell him i've been working for a year and you've been aware of me doing that whole time,no one mentioned it. He just responds with it's against policy and fires me. I was employee of the month and all that BS, so i think they must have suspected my drug use or noticed my change in demeanor over the year and needed a way to get rid of me. So pretty much just don't trust anybody they lie to your face and don't sign anything i made that mistake too |

Well advised, I've got that all in mind. There are people there that seem nice, but half of them can't even fake nice. A lot of them are fake as ****. So I trust no one at this point and I'm gonna guard my words.

What made me mad is i would have gotten unemployment checks if i hadn't been duped into signing my own termination.
But yeah i struggle with some co-workers too. I just don't understand where people like that come from, you know, the type that get emotionally invested in their slightly-above-minimum wage jobs. |

Yeah, so I talked to him bright and early this morning. He had a report from an anonymous assistant manager (there's 3 at any time of the day, a total of only about 7 though - in a store with 20-25 employees lol) that I was 'copping some attitude' recently, and its the second time. I know what the first time was.... a month ago when I rolled my eyes when he asked me to check the bottle bins in the middle of doing the garbage on the other side of the store, all while running to backup checkout every other 5 minutes. Anyway, that was dumb. But I just learned to roll with it and do whatever they ask without any faces or eye rolls, even when it doesn't make the best sense. He had said I was being insubordinate in a nutshell. My problem is that this came out of the blue, because I've been watching my ass. I know I was copping some attitude when I didn't get my first break til 4 hours into my shift and it wasn't even busy... but that was justified in my eyes. I didn't even say anything, I was just like 'ughhh'. I've never had a cashier job that asked so much of their employees, and I've worked for Slaveway, Dollar Tree, Valero convenience and gas, movie theater, etc. I mean... I can do it, but they're sheisty. And someone's a snitch bitch in a high-up posish in a **** ditch
oh yeah, and I'm not fired, but I got a week's unpaid vacation. Never had an employer be so weird. I'll take it. I swear y'all might get the wrong impression about me as a worker. I'm not a lazy ass, whiny ass, ****up... I'm a hard worker, I've got great checkout speed and accuracy, but I don't do small talk with the customers really, and I know what I'm doing and how things run best before they tell me so when they tell me to do something, I have to remember it doesn't matter if its right or wrong, just laugh when you know you were right. |

Made the mistake of feeling sorry for my mooching neighbour and letting her use the phone. Now she's over two or three times a day. I swear she owes money to everyone within a 10 km radius. I feel sorry for anyone she gets to mow her lawn. Bitch always tells them her ATM card didn't work and to come back tomorrow to collect what she owes, then when they come back she doesn't answer the door. Same BS with anyone who delivers a pizza. I've learned over the years that when she says "I'm getting paid tomorrow" it doesn't mean "I'm getting paid tomorrow so I can pay you back" it's just an intentionally misleading statement of the fact.
