Not really

Bosses may be different, you might get away more with one than you would another but the principle is the same.

Yeah but for fast food boy here speaking his mind probably won't ever end good. I've had a job in one of those places it doesn't work, I ended up getting fired.

I'm serious though dude. If you have a public pool or a water park close to you, be a lifeguard. Its a pretty sweet job. If I decided to work at the public pool near me, I could make around $10.00/hour. Thats a lot more than you'd make at a fast food joint.

It doesn't matter what the job is or where it is. If you don't stand up for yourself, you might as well lay down to be walked on. I worked in a Taco Bell in Texas in '98. I got into a yelling match with the manager and was not fired for it. I didn't face anything more than an extended break to cool off. If your boss is willing to fire you for standing up, you shouldn't be working for them anyway. My only advice is to be damn sure you are right if you are going to raise your voice, and back down if wrong. There is a big difference between standing up when right and making an ass of yourself when wrong.

True dat... The work force has got to be uber careful these days with all the workers rights things and what not. They have to respect you if you have a valid complaint.

Get a union job if possible. You have to pay union dues, but the perks definitely outweigh the money you shell out.

I would not reccomend any teenager to get a union job at all. The people I know who are part of a union absolutly hate, as it cost too much money, and the 'perks' are not nearly worth it, not for a teenager
