It's uncomfortable to acknowledge how petty most of our own concerns really are, so in moments of adversity I prefer to think of my life under the gloriously self-agrandising title,
"No Home But The Struggle" (Edward Upward), although perhaps a more accurate description is "The Man Without Qualities" (Robert Musil).
