When I was 11, I taped an interview with Braxton off of the radio.
I'm providing just an excerpt of what amounted to one side of a C90 cassette.
He would've been 24 or 25 at that time and he's pretty cynical throughout,
but that time was filled with a lot of anger and world-weary disenchantment
that would surely come to the fore in the mind of someone about his age.

All praise due obviously but I'd rather go with a later one when Watterson was really doing those gorgeous Sunday strips.

Marie, I haven't read the book unfortunately (even though it's on my shelves in Vol. #46 of Encyclopedia Brittanica's Great Books collection!) - but have you seen the BBC dramatization? I thought it was excellent.
