I've never had any other favourite album than Sgt. Pepper. My music taste has changed over time, but my love for that album stubbornly remains 2. Go to YouTube and post one of your recommended videos. Write a comment about the video too if you wanna be cool. Chose this because of the title obviously, I've only listened to the first minute yet but so far it's great 3. What's something that you're really good at cooking? My quiche is particularly nice 4. If you had to choose the book for an MB book club, which one would it be? George Eliot's Middlemarch lol. I'm obviously not going to shut up about that damn book either here or on discord 5. What do you think the role of government should be? turning the frogs gay 6. What's your favourite snack? baklava

Favorite song, favorite album. Shut up. 2. Go to YouTube and post one of your recommended videos. Write a comment about the video too if you wanna be cool. I don't think there's a comment that will make this cool. 3. What's something that you're really good at cooking? Farts. 4. If you had to choose the book for an MB book club, which one would it be? Because it would be hilarious. The hero kicking a little girl in the jaw for being a bitch is the least of its sins. 5. What do you think the role of government should be? Digging their own ****ing graves cause I've done enough work already. 6. What's your favourite snack? Take a butter knife. Dip it in peanut butter. Dip it in marshmallows. Now cry alone in the dark.

1. What was your favourite album/song when you were 10 years old?
Can’t pick one because I had a sizable collection even then, but, really, I suppose my two favorites when I was 10 are still my favorites today: • Karlheinz Stockhausen – Hymnen • Pierre Henry: Apocalypse de Jean and these 4 were ones I played incessantly as well: • The Firesign Theatre: Waiting for the Electrician or Someone Like Him • Lee Michaels: S/T • New Sounds in Electronic Music (because it had Steve Reich's "Come Out" piece on it) • Anthony Braxton: 3 Compositions Of New Jazz 2. Go to YouTube and post one of your recommended videos. Write a comment about the video too if you wanna be cool. This is just because it was one of two videos I posted here 8 years ago that people here had a fit over: 3. What's something that you're really good at cooking? I was going to say quiche too. 4. If you had to choose the book for an MB book club, which one would it be? I wouldn’t dare. 5. What do you think the role of government should be? To protect us from ourselves. 6. What's your favourite snack? Just about any kind of cookies as long as there’s no coconut. |

1. What was your favourite album/song when you were 10 years old?
https://www.discogs.com/Various-40-F...elease/3813895 Forty Funky Hits Honorable mention to The Beatles Blue Album, The Lime in the Coconut single, and Puff the Magic Dragon single, Photographs & Memories: His Greatest Hits by Jim Croce 2. Go to YouTube and post one of your recommended videos. Write a comment about the video too if you wanna be cool. Most everything recommended to me by youtube are weird right wing videos. Like random person starts fight with antifa or something. But this was on there I watched all the Lincoln Project videos because I’m curious how they think they’re going to pull traditional conservatives away from Trump. The only one that really impressed me is the guy from the coma wakes up from 2015 into Covidland and pulls the plug on himself but I’m not their target audience. 3. What's something that you're really good at cooking? Tilapia with a kind of Mexican sauce. Like fish tacos with no shell. 4. If you had to choose the book for an MB book club, which one would it be? Sheepshagger by Niall Griffiths 5. What do you think the role of government should be? Run a televised black truck genocide 6. What's your favourite snack? Nachos in the winter / frozen grapefruit juice in the summer (starting this year)

Riding home a block from my house I saw a giant black truck with a big-honkin-ass American flag flying from the back of its bed from the left and from the right a thin blue line flag and there's no way they weren't giant blind spots that should have gotten the presumably dumb presumed redneck pulled over by the cops who'd tell him to take them down cause they were a hazard. I immediately thought of you and shifted my Overton Window a little your way. I'll bet there was a Punisher decal somewhere on that truck too.

1. What was your favourite album/song when you were 10 years old?
Me and my friend group were obsessed with Slipknot's Vol. 3. 2. Go to YouTube and post one of your recommended videos. Write a comment about the video too if you wanna be cool. Coltrane's soloing on 2-5. Dial Africa - Take 1 is really something else. 3. What's something that you're really good at cooking? Fried chicken. 4. If you had to choose the book for an MB book club, which one would it be? Celine Dion's Let's Talk About Love: A Journey to the End of Taste (33 1/3) by Carl Wilson 5. What do you think the role of government should be? Immediately satisfy human rights and needs while taking long term approaches like developing community structures to better provide for the people in order to negate the demand for governmental involvement in problem-solving. 6. What's your favourite snack? WAP

Yeah, actually Braxton used to show up barefoot and with his German Shepherd
at the record store I used to get a lot of stuff at (Rose Records on Wabash Ave. in Chicago). I never talked to him in those days, but one day a few years later (I think I was about 13), he came into the Jazz Record Mart (when it was on Lincoln Ave.) with a friend who had just finished some LP cover artwork (I think it was for the Braxton/Jarman album "Together Alone"). While at the front counter, they were trying to remove the artwork from some kind of big sleeve and fumbled it. It almost hit the floor, but I was there to catch it. So, it was a good time to go into my "Oh Mr. Braxton. I love your work ... (blah, blah, blah...) ... I started playing saxophone after hearing "For Alto" ... (blah, blah...) talking about my drum lessons with Steve McCall, and so on. He was very cool then. Always has been. We've talked a few times since. He even has music scores of mine in his library. |
