Hey, you changed your mind too apparently. I feel like a moron for rating season 5 so low the first time. And I'm still indignant over your rating of season 6, it should be higher for the Going Through the Motions song alone

Was the musical from season 6? I mean that's on a short list for the top 5 Buffy episodes no question but in general I don't remember much from season 6 besides Willow turning evil. The villains were a lot of fun but completely underwhelming as actual villains (exemplified by Willow usurping them as the Big Bad at the last minute) and while I know the theme of the season was banality being the real villain of entering the adult world the theme workee too well and the season was banal. Season 7 might have been a mess but at least it was memorable and the evil priest was one of my favorite villains.

But yeah shame on you for not appreciating season 5. It has more Riley than I'd like but Glory is great, it's Spike's definitive season, and subverting the adding a young new character trope with Dawn worked way better than it had any right to. Spike's relationship with Dawn is one of the best things in the series and I will always remember him telling her the story of him murdering the orphanage.

YES Spike and Dawn is such a fantastic combination. I realised my mistake because my favourite youtube nerd who analyses Buffy episodes is going through season 5 now and I'm being slapped in the face by its greatness

Also season 6 does get a bit of a bump cause Dawn got smoking hot.
