That's one reason why I think it's an interesting genre.

Don't think I've ever given Mr. Bungle much of a chance. Maybe Melvins and Tomahawk also kinda fit in? I can't really remember how much of their sound could possibly be considered metal.

I guess Melvins might qualify. They went too far beyond sludge to get pigeonholed and alt metal is as good a descriptor as any I guess. And you can't talk about alt metal without White Zombie.




And I guess Rammstein would count. Not the biggest fan but their debut is pretty awesome.

Oh ja I forgot White Zombie. They're solid but I like their early noisy **** best.
