1.) What is the most recent lie you told to get out of a social engagement?
2.) Most time-consuming and/or difficult dish you've ever cooked? 3.) Cake or pie? 4.) Spookiest thing that's ever happened to you, that you might consider a paranormal/spiritual or "glitch in the matrix" type experience if you believed in such things? (I'm assuming the vast majority of y'all are atheists) 5.) If you could have any idea turned into a high-budget TV series, what would it be? (Be it your own idea, or something based on a book you like or whatever) Who would you cast in the lead roles? 6.) What's something (no matter how goofy or seemingly boring) you love to do--ideally with other people-- that none of your friends ever want to do? |

Can't think of any. 2.) Most time-consuming and/or difficult dish you've ever cooked? Breaded chicken I guess. I'm not much of a cook. 3.) Cake or pie? Neither. Diabetic. 4.) Spookiest thing that's ever happened to you, that you might consider a paranormal/spiritual or "glitch in the matrix" type experience if you believed in such things? (I'm assuming the vast majority of y'all are atheists) I don't believe in the supernatural. I did have a peeper staring into my windows on multiple nights at a ground floor apartment I had many years ago, and I mean like he was standing a foot from the windows staring in. That was pretty fucking creepy. 5.) If you could have any idea turned into a high-budget TV series, what would it be? (Be it your own idea, or something based on a book you like or whatever) Who would you cast in the lead roles? I just recently read the Book of the New Sun series by Gene Wolf and I think that would make a pretty good TV series on HBO or some place it could be done right. It would be great if it was maybe made a little less vague than the books too. 6.) What's something (no matter how goofy or seemingly boring) you love to do--ideally with other people-- that none of your friends ever want to do? I love to talk about music (surprise). I have plenty of friends who love music, but not to the degree that I do. So I'd say that it's not so much that they don't want to talk about it, it's just they don't want to talk about it to the extent that I do. Hence me being a member of this site. |

Sorry I'm broke. I just didn't want to hang out with the guy. 2.) Most time-consuming and/or difficult dish you've ever cooked? Most time consuming would be my braised lamb because it takes 4 hours to simmer and I gave to keep checking it and potentially adding more veggies and beer. 3.) Cake or pie? Pie and a nice cup of joe. 4.) Spookiest thing that's ever happened to you, that you might consider a paranormal/spiritual or "glitch in the matrix" type experience if you believed in such things? (I'm assuming the vast majority of y'all are atheists) One time my friends and I were chilling in this park on acid. We were meditating, enjoying the wide nature spaces. One of my friends starts going on with this poem and at the end of it he said something along the lines of "I am the Chinese man in the sky and as the wind rises, so do I" and right at that point the wind starting roaring. I've never looked at him the same since. 5.) If you could have any idea turned into a high-budget TV series, what would it be? (Be it your own idea, or something based on a book you like or whatever) Who would you cast in the lead roles? I could see my novel idea of two alchemists living their last lives in a retirement community and embellish it with zany community members a la Twin Peaks. Basically the premise is that one of the guys wants to die and keeps failing by giving into his fear of death and saving himself with a potion. Once he finally accepts death the other alchemist has the fear of being alone and saves him. Then...more stuff happens. It would only run two or three seasons I think. The alchemists would be played by Sir Patrick Stewart as the suicidal one and Steve Buscemi as the other one. Thered also be a lot of actors playing them at different ages. 6.) What's something (no matter how goofy or seemingly boring) you love to do--ideally with other people-- that none of your friends ever want to do? I always try to convince my friends to flee the country and fly to Columbia to become smugglers but they're never down.

1.) What is the most recent lie you told to get out of a social engagement?
I can't remember. If I don't want to do something or go somewhere I will just say I am not going/don't want to go. 2.) Most time-consuming and/or difficult dish you've ever cooked? Ages ago I did a dish involving lamb was recommended a leg of lamb to do it with as that was the best. I had it whole and didn't think about it fitting in the pot and when it came to cutting it down I ended up having to go to the toolbox and using a saw, it took ages and I was knackered by the time I'd done it. The first time I did a Sunday dinner by myself took ages as well, it was a challenge getting everything done at the same time (roast beef, mashed potato, roast potato, veg, Yorkshire puds, stuffing, gravy). I managed it in the end but it wasn't easy and I appreciated my mom a bit more for all the times she has done it. 3.) Cake or pie? I prefer savoury to sweet, so pie. Balti to be specific 4.) Spookiest thing that's ever happened to you, that you might consider a paranormal/spiritual or "glitch in the matrix" type experience if you believed in such things? (I'm assuming the vast majority of y'all are atheists) I don't think anything like this has ever happened to me. But quoting Janz's post: Quote:
5.) If you could have any idea turned into a high-budget TV series, what would it be? (Be it your own idea, or something based on a book you like or whatever) Who would you cast in the lead roles? MGS: The Series Man like Monkey to play Snake, Lana Del Rey to play Eva. 6.) What's something (no matter how goofy or seemingly boring) you love to do--ideally with other people-- that none of your friends ever want to do? Have tried to get a few to come to the snooker hall a few times but they aren't interested. I don't get it. Can take your own beer in, smoke your joints in your private room and knock some balls about. Food there as well. What more could you want? |

1.) What is the most recent lie you told to get out of a social engagement?
"I'm kinda sick tonight." 2.) Most time-consuming and/or difficult dish you've ever cooked? Erm... lasagna, I guess. 3.) Cake or pie? Cake, because I'm all about that chocolate, and chocolate cream pie is too sweet. 4.) Spookiest thing that's ever happened to you, that you might consider a paranormal/spiritual or "glitch in the matrix" type experience if you believed in such things? (I'm assuming the vast majority of y'all are atheists) I've never experienced anything I couldn't explain logically. If I did, I'd chock it up to my own lack of knowledge rather than the supernatural. Sorry, Chio. 5.) If you could have any idea turned into a high-budget TV series, what would it be? (Be it your own idea, or something based on a book you like or whatever) Who would you cast in the lead roles? I'd like to see an accurate Ernest Hemingway biopic. Dunno who I'd cast as Papa, though. 6.) What's something (no matter how goofy or seemingly boring) you love to do--ideally with other people-- that none of your friends ever want to do? Philosophize.

The first time, I went out to the alley with a baseball bat but he was already gone. After that, we started calling the cops. The last night he showed up, we called the cops, and as before, by the time they got there he was gone. So afterward a couple of us were hanging out in one roommate's room, with not much in the way of lights on, talking about it. Then, suddenly, we see that the motherfucker was back, casting a shadow on the window shade as he tried to peer into window of the next bedroom over. We called the cops again, and this time they were there in seconds. They came down both ends of the alley and caught the guy, held him by a window for us to identify but we couldn't because we had only ever seen just a shape in the windows. I don't know if they let him go or what, but we didn't have any peeping after that.
