What's the nicest unexpected compliment from a stranger you've ever received?

What outlandishly stupid and frivolous thing would you buy first if you suddenly became obscenely rich?

What are your favorite smells?

What do you love that everybody else seems to hate/not understand?

What do you hate that everybody else seems to love?

What's the last non-fiction book you read?

What's the nicest unexpected compliment from a stranger you've ever received?

I used to have a tragic septum piercing about ten years ago and once when I was riding my bike back from work I passed by this decrepit little old lady who looked at me and just slowly recoiled in horror. Was hella awkward, but I felt pretty good about myself after that.

I would go to InStockTrades.com and just start adding comics to my cart for like a day.

What are your favorite smells?

The first week of spring, that half second after you open an actual good beer, and the smell of my balls after a long day at work.

What do you love that everybody else seems to hate/not understand?

<<<

What do you hate that everybody else seems to love?

Pink Floyd

What's the last non-fiction book you read?

Was reading a book on the Battle of Okinawa a little while back. The history of war and conquest is fascinating.

I don't know how frivolous this is, but I would curate a show with a lot of my favourite artists that I haven't seen yet like Zu, Magma, Acid Mothers Temple SWR, Peter Brötzman (who would help me choose the rest of his group, Han Bennonk is a given), Keiji Haino, Fred Frith, King Crimson, and see if I could buy a Naked City reunion. You'd all be invited except for Kiiii.

Of course, that might be the second most frivolous depending on how extravagant you consider purchasing two of every type of instrument to make a Frownland's ark to be.

I'm currently reading the 33 1/3 on Trout Mask Replica.

What's the nicest unexpected compliment from a stranger you've ever received?

I helped an older woman at the bookstore for two hours one day. Some other woman who had been shopping said that it was the biggest display of patience they'd ever seen and that my parents should be proud. It was nice of her to ask. I actually had a blast helping that woman. She was hysterical. She called Dean Koontz a dick.

Every single record in my wishlist on Discogs. Immediately. I wouldn't even think about it. There are a lot.

What are your favorite smells?

Detergent. Onions on a hot skillet. Summer rain storms.

What do you love that everybody else seems to hate/not understand?

Doing nothing for an entire day. One day only. I can't do it for two.

What do you hate that everybody else seems to love?

Avocado.

What's the last non-fiction book you read?

Well, I'm reading "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson right now so I'm counting that.

I've read some Bill Bryson and that is a funny dude. A Walk in the Woods was fantastic.

Solid choice.

What's the nicest unexpected compliment from a stranger you've ever received?

A guy complimented my physique for no reason. I was with a friend going to see some live music at a bar. He wasn't being gay or flirty about this, not that there's anything wrong with that, it was just genuine admiration for my physique.

What outlandishly stupid and frivolous thing would you buy first if you suddenly became obscenely rich?

I would buy a pair of Adidas Predator Mania football boots. My parents couldn't afford the top of the range boots so I had the cheaper models as a kid.

What are your favorite smells?

Aside from the obvious perfume and Charles's scrotum, women's hair when you hug them and you give it a little sniff and it smells of shampoo. That's a cute smell.

What do you love that everybody else seems to hate/not understand?

The Streets' last album, Computers and Blues. Actually I think Trollheart likes it too cos I recommended it to him, but I'm pretty much on my own with this one.

What do you hate that everybody else seems to love?

The Smiths.

What's the last non-fiction book you read?

It was an autobiography.

Ketchup on steak is a pretty nice smell too.
