Would you rather no one show up to your wedding or your funeral?
Funeral. In fact, I wish there would be no funeral for me at all. Would you rather time travel to meet your great ancestors from 200 years ago or your descendants 200 years in the future? Ancestors, because they all lived back then in countries (Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Scotland) that I’d like to visit. Would you rather live a life of substantially meaningful struggle or decadent vanity? Decadent vanity and I’d share the wealth. Would you rather have to live life with no arms or no legs? Definitely legless. Could still do most things I love doing without legs, but not without arms. Would you rather be blind but with exceptional hearing or deaf with exceptional sight? I used to choose deafness in answering this question; but now, I’d rather be blind (with the bonus of exceptional hearing). Having had a few brushes with hearing loss in recent years made me realize how important the ability to hear music is to me. Would you rather live in a world where everyone was mute or in a world where no one had anything interesting to say? Mute. We can say and do lots of interesting things with our hands. |

Would you rather no one show up to your wedding or your funeral?
Wedding. If it ever happens, I just want it to be a courthouse thing with the prerequisite number of witnesses. Would you rather time travel to meet your great ancestors from 200 years ago or your descendants 200 years in the future? Future. duh. **** my family, I just want to go to the future. Would you rather live a life of substantially meaningful struggle or decadent vanity? Do I even need to answer that? Give me lazy bliss with beer and weed to fill the glorious emptiness of my life. Would you rather have to live life with no arms or no legs? No legs. I can have a wheelchair to get around, but there's no replacement for arms. Would you rather be blind but with exceptional hearing or deaf with exceptional sight? No idea. Music. Comics and video games. But I could be Daredevil. Dude, I could be Daredevil... Would you rather live in a world where everyone was mute or in a world where no one had anything interesting to say? Aren't we already living in the second one? I'm pretty fine with it as is.

Would you rather no one show up to your wedding or your funeral?
Wedding. I would't want it do be some huge even anyway. Would you rather time travel to meet your great ancestors from 200 years ago or your descendants 200 years in the future? Not gonna have any descendants, but any opportunity to go to the future I'm down. Would you rather live a life of substantially meaningful struggle or decadent vanity? I can't expect to be able to answer this while I'm still in my twenties but my life is definitely trending toward the former. Would you rather have to live life with no arms or no legs? For current practicality's sake I'm gonna go with no legs, but we're getting closer to fully controllable prosthetics. Would you rather be blind but with exceptional hearing or deaf with exceptional sight? Deaf. I'd rather have people write what they wanna say down than have to listen to them anyway. Would you rather live in a world where everyone was mute or in a world where no one had anything interesting to say? Mute. Again, just write it down.

Funeral. I'll be dead anyway. Would you rather time travel to meet your great ancestors from 200 years ago or your descendants 200 years in the future? The future is going to suck nuts, so my ancestors for sure. But from 201 years ago instead, so I could celebrate Norway getting its very own constitution. But not the part about banning Jews from the country, that part is wack. Would you rather live a life of substantially meaningful struggle or decadent vanity? I'd like to be a contributing member of society instead of a Dorian Gray, so meaningful struggle it is. Would you rather have to live life with no arms or no legs? No legs. Would you rather be blind but with exceptional hearing or deaf with exceptional sight? Sorry MusicBanter, but I'd rather be deaf. I'm absolutely terrified of going blind. Would you rather live in a world where everyone was mute or in a world where no one had anything interesting to say? A world where everyone was mute. Sometimes I just want everyone to shut exactly up, and written interaction isn't too bad. If no one had anything interesting to say, everything would be boring, duh.

I'd like my wedding to be a private affair. Nothing extravagant. The past few years have been wonderful and worthy of celebration but it's so foolish to go spending so much money on your wedding, and be flat broke for the duration of your marriage. I don't think a person has to go crazy with the money just to show others what they've already known: the two of us are in love. I don't ****ing care what you do with whatever I have left in the event of my death. Invite the fucking Pope and Paul McCartney; I don't give a shit. Would you rather time travel to meet your great ancestors from 200 years ago or your descendants 200 years in the future? No contest here: my ancestors. Preferably on my father's side. Would you rather live a life of substantially meaningful struggle or decadent vanity? So far I've lived a life of substantially meaningful struggle but every bit of me would love to do a ton of blow every morning just to get through the day, live in a fine-ass town house, drive a gorgeous car, get a few surgical alterations on my face, and pay people to clean my house. Sorry not sorry. Would you rather have to live life with no arms or no legs? I think it would be easier to live with no legs than it would be to live with no arms. At least with your arms, you can get around without your legs (e.g.; wheelchair) and still do most of the things you enjoyed before you lost your legs. Would you rather be blind but with exceptional hearing or deaf with exceptional sight? I'm already just a few points away from actual blindness (I'm completely peripherally blind - I have a little bit of sight left in my right eye as far as peripherals go, but it's mostly just shadow recognition and it's sort of like what you'd see if you dropped milk on a glass slide) so I guess I could cope with being blind with exceptional hearing. Can't go wrong with anything as long as you can still hear the music. Would you rather live in a world where everyone was mute or in a world where no one had anything interesting to say? Don't most people already struggle to say anything meaningful or interesting?

I'd just like to add about people going to my funeral. It's not so much that I want a bunch of people boo hooing at my sad funeral, I just want it to be the dead body version of a house party: open bar, strippers (with benefits), and a kickass metal band with a bitchin' mosh pit.

Whatever's left in Wolves In Sheepskin when I die is playing at my funeral.
