1) What did you want to grow up to be when you were 10?
A bus driver. I was force fed reruns of the Honeymooners. 2) If your friends were asked to give you one superpower and one weakness, what do you think they'd give you? Superpower - The ability to create money out of thin air. Weakness - Unnecessary charitability. 3) If you could live out one person's life, exactly like they did, from beginning to end, who would you choose? Hugh Hefner. Such a charmed life he leads. 4) Best ice cream flavour? Vanilla Bean 5) Your life is a movie and it just ended. What song plays at the end scene/credits? Johnny Cash - I've Been Everywhere 6) What's the bravest thing you've ever done? What's the most cowardly? Served my country proudly. Placed blame for something I did on someone else.

1) What did you want to grow up to be when you were 10? A metal guitarist. I still wanna have something to do with music.
2) If your friends were asked to give you one superpower and one weakness, what do you think they'd give you? Power- Something from Zelda or Minecraft. That's not a joke. I've managed to surround myself with Minecraft nerds despite the fact that I do not play Minecraft or any video games, really. I think it's because we're all somewhere along the spectrum and I'm one of the few people who can actually understand and hold a conversation with them. Amazing people, though. Weakness- Something witty and random. Like my dick shrinks when I eat ice cream or something. 3) If you could live out one person's life, exactly like they did, from beginning to end, who would you choose? Someone who's life is crazy. I dunno, Ozzy or somethiing like that. 4) Best ice cream flavour? Does gelato count as ice cream? Because I find myself eating hazelnut gelato from a joint a little less than a mile away from my place than any ice cream. 5) Your life is a movie and it just ended. What song plays at the end scene/credits? A mashup of the first half of Skrillex's With You Friends and the second half of Guns 'N Roses' Rocket Queen 6) What's the bravest thing you've ever done? What's the most cowardly? Most cowardly- Played a song at my Bar Mitzvah that I didn't even know all the way through (I told the band I would be prepared because I overestimated myself. These guys knew every song ever. I could've easily done something I did know, but I was embarressed) and had to walk off stage part way through, right before the solo. I could've at least improvised... Kind of got pissed off at myself and ruined the second half of the party. Bravest- I'll have to pick from a couple brave ones. 1) Overcame an obsessive water problem- I would drink what I calculated to be about a quarter of my weight in water a day. I would have a large-mouthed canteen and I even had to figure out how to shape my mouth so I could drink the fastest in order to do so. I drank like a normal person for a painful 10 days before it felt normal. Feel a lot better now. 2) Played guitar for my entire school (700) and reversed my entire reputation after EVERYTHING went wrong. The sound sucked because the amp was obstructed behind the stage and my voice was about twice as loud as the guitar. There was no mic stand, as I was the only person who was singing and playing an instrument at the same time, so one of the MCs had to hold the mic to my face the entire time. Crowd responce? Movie-like. School was under my control for a couple days. There are MANY others that are as brave as those, but now that I've given enough information for anyone to identify me and whoever else might be mentioned, I'll leave them out.

I should probably do this as well: 1) What did you want to grow up to be when you were 10? A musician, not even a rockstar but just someone who's surrounded with musical instruments. I don't know why I never took it more seriously and let that get sidetracked since that's never changed and probably never will. I also wanted to be Batman. I don't know why I never took that more seriously either. 2) If your friends were asked to give you one superpower and one weakness, what do you think they'd give you? Knowing them, they give me something great like flying and then follow it up with a weakness like severe allergy to clothing. So if you see a naked man flying across the sky one day, yeah that's me 3) If you could live out one person's life, exactly like they did, from beginning to end, who would you choose? It would be Bono. I love his story about his struggle through a traumatic young life, fighting for each inch to be where he is now. That self belief and confidence of knowing exactly what he wanted to be. All the failures with the labels, half the band not knowing how to play music but just wanting to matter, breaking a good debut with an awful follow up and recovering, transitioning from the seminal Joshua Tree to a near bankrupting Rattle & Hum and from the hard time following that, coming into Zoo TV and Achtung Baby. The having one love of your life and not cheating on her, playing Live Aid, Sarajevo, Superbowl....what a life. That or Batman. Not Christopher Nolan's Batman. That dude had it pretty bad. 4) Best ice cream flavour? Cookies and cream. 5) Your life is a movie and it just ended. What song plays at the end scene/credits? Amazing Grace. I'm not religious but that song is special. 6) What's the bravest thing you've ever done? What's the most cowardly? Most cowardly: did not pursue music when I was younger. Specifically: How I acted in my last relationship. I should have had the courage and self-respect to end things when I saw they were only one sided. Instead of dragging out & trying to change her. Most brave/stupid: quit my job to finally at least try music. Since then I've had some amazing highs and very low lows. Although its yet to be vindicated as a smart thing to do, its inspired people around me to try and take some risks and pursue things they've always wanted too. And seeing that is enough to know that I'm on the right track. |

Who would you like to see in concert before you die? You can name up to three. 6. What is the last movie that you watched?

1. Take it to the Currency Exchange.
2. Warmer, definitely. A ski trip is my idea of a Holiday from Hell. Actually, Hell's warm, I think I'd rather 'vacation' there. 3. Nas. He really opened the door for my love of hip-hop. The first artist outwith Eminem and 50 Cent, who were big here at the time that I'd properly listened to. 4. Nope, my putrid days are a long way away. 5. Nobody springs to mind, I just know that if I wanted to go to a concert, none of my friends would want to go with me because none of them are that into music, which is a shame. 6. Not too big on movies, think Coyote Ugly was on at my work in the background, and I couldn't run, hide or resist its kiss. |

Put it in the bank. 2. Do you prefer warmer or colder weather? Colder weather, I live up north. 3. Who was an important step in your musical journey? Lula Cortes, Comus, Dilla, Nujabes, Tribe, Jimmy Smith, Django, Jerome's Dream. 4. Any difficulty urinating? Nah I'm an alcoholic. 5. Who would you like to see in concert before you die? You can name up to three. I'm not a big concert guy, but I'd have to say One Be Lo, Hieroglyphics, Wu-Tang. 6. What is the last movie that you watched? |
