1) Where do you see yourself this time next year?
Right in this exact place. Hopefully with a pretty decent beard by then. 2) If you were to make a TV Show, what would be it's format/storyline? Probably a high school sitcom starring my group of friends. 3) What would you name your children, male or female, and any particular reason for that? I'd name my son Samson because it's the name my parents almost named me but never went through with. It's also similar to my actual name. As for a daughter, I love the name Kezia but I don't think I'd actually name her that. Something pretty though, for sure. 4) If you were to make music for a living, what genre would it be, and a few examples of comparable/influential artists? I'd play some form of punk or hardcore, probably in the vein of Fucked Up or Refused, with maybe a tad more melody and dynamics. 5) Any genres of music that you are currently trying to get into? Yeah, more electronic music. Mostly ambient and minimal techno, that kind of thing. 6) In homage to Shaun Of The Dead, of the albums you own, which five would you sacrifice to kill a zombie, and which five would you keep? I've got a **** ton of new wave cheese on vinyl that was given to me that I'd happily throw at a zombie's head. If I could only keep 5, I'd keep Baroness "Blue Record", Refused "The Shape Of Punk To Come", Alexisonfire "Dog's Blood", The Copyrights "North Sentinel Island" and Ceremony "Zoo".

I just like the way they sound. 4) If you were to make music for a living, what genre would it be, and a few examples of comparable/influential artists? 90s sounding hip hop, Nas, Raekwon, old Eminem, Doom, older Aesop Rock. 5) Any genres of music that you are currently trying to get into? Hmm not really, although I've been listening to a lot of folky stuff lately. 6) In homage to Shaun Of The Dead, of the albums you own, which five would you sacrifice to kill a zombie, and which five would you keep? Cheers for the answers
1) Where do you see yourself this time next year? Well, if I get my apprentice, I assume I would be near the end of my placement as Apprentice Customer Sales Exec. and move into a full-time job there. 2) If you were to make a TV Show, what would be it's format/storyline? I love so many TV Shows in many different formats, so I am finding it hard to think of some kind of original idea. I think if anything I would make a Curb Your Enthusiasm style improv show. The storyline would probably run more along the lines of the surreal, rather than the plot of Curb. 3) What would you name your children, male or female, and any particular reason for that? I personally hope to never have kids, but I would probably name them Scarlett and Bobby/Bob. 4) If you were to make music for a living, what genre would it be, and a few examples of comparable/influential artists? I would love to be able to write Rap, but I don't have the voice for it due to my rubbish lisp (not even a proper one, which I imagine would be endearing, rather, a slight emphasis that makes me sound quite silly at times. Either way, I imagine I would make music similar to the Dalek and Faust collab', which is pretty insane. 5) Any genres of music that you are currently trying to get into? I really want to gain more knowledge in the Avant Garde area as that genre genuinely interests me, unlike some others, but I have not really made the effort. 6) In homage to Shaun Of The Dead, of the albums you own, which five would you sacrifice to kill a zombie, and which five would you keep? Just from albums I own... I would keep: Beach House - Teen Dream Boom Bip & Dose One - Circle The Fall - Hex Enduction Hour The Replacements - Tim A Tribe Called Quest - The Low End Theory Albums I would use to kill Zombies: Oasis - Heathen Chemistry Baby Chaos - Safe Sex Designer Drugs & The Death of Rock 'n' Roll Rammstein - Live aus Berlin Ian Brown - The World Is Yours The Beatles - 1

1) What's your absolute favourite old-school video game?
Wolfenstein 3D. 2) Where's the last place you went on vacation? Paris, France... in 2006.... I guess I really need a vacation right about now. 3) What's the last lie you told somebody? I really don't know. Are we talking serious lies, or just any form of deception? If it's just any simple form of deception, then yea, today I didn't yell "you are the worst composer I have ever heard" to my music appreciation professor today when he showed us one of his works that included his "grand idea" of writing a "techno" song for an orchestra... He apparently thought it would be original to have a timpani play on a 4/4 rhythm while the strings play the exact notes of the Mortal Kombat theme song... It sounded like shit. 4) What do you think was the most pivotal moment, period, or person in music history, going thousands of years back? I don't think there was one single moment that is owed that honor beyond the original ability to create and enjoy music as an innate faculty of the human species. After that point, it's all a non-stop progression of influence, adaptation and acceptance. I think every step along the way was just as pivotal as the rest, regardless of whether that pivot point leads to what people consider good or bad. 5) Do you listen to any music that you though you would never, ever listen to? It's sort of hard to answer this. In one aspect, yes, because when I was a teenager, I didn't see myself listening to anything other than what I listened to at the time... now I listen to far more than I would have imagined. In the other aspect, I've always hated Zydeco, classic Louisiana Honkey-Tonk, and other southern Folk music, and I still don't like it, so there's that. I guess hate is harder to conquer than ambivalence. Probably just wired to not like it for some psychological reason, which--to me--seems different than just being in a teenage phase where your musical taste is largely dictated not by what you're listening to but who else is listening to it. 6) Do you think everyone has a soul mate, or is that just an idea derived from fairy tales? I don't believe in "spiritual souls". But if we want to de-mystic it, it's quite simple... out of all the people in the world, all the people in one country, one city, one town, there are bound to be many with physical and personality characteristics that work perfectly well with each other. It's just a matter of ending up with the one that works best. The luckiest ones have it made with the least issues, I would imagine. In less lucky cases, most of us are willing to compromise and eventually come to accept our situations and make the best of them. Some may see this as a failure, but I think it's one of the most obvious signs of humanity's natural mechanisms at work, and I think it's extremely impressive. For all our mental power and control, we are ultimately undermined by the nature of our need to love! (a fancy term for good odds, I think) So no, I don't believe in soul mates. But there are plenty mates that we can put to the test until we convince ourselves that we've found the right one. That's basically the definition of dating, right? |

1) Where do you see yourself this time next year?
Will have graduated (this summer, actually), should be working as an IT network administrator, and should be saving for a down payment on a house. 2) If you were to make a TV Show, what would be it's format/storyline? Zombie show, except the zombies are in a typical sitcom setting and have to worry about regular humans while they just try to get on with their... errr... lives? 3) What would you name your children, male or female, and any particular reason for that? I don't propose to have any idea about it, except that I wouldn't name them the retarded shit I've seen in the past. A kid's name shouldn't be some wish-to-be-cool crap the parents had growing up. It's the kid's name for his/her entire life. It shouldn't be some proxy pipe-dream whereupon the parents proceed to turn their children into what they never were. 4) If you were to make music for a living, what genre would it be, and a few examples of comparable/influential artists? Electronic. But I've always had this dream of doing something different and real. I haven't succeeded yet. I'm beating my head against this wall of a reality bubble that contains all the influential artists to me, regardless of genre, and I can't really break out of it. But I'm content to just keep pecking at it until I either die, or finally break through. 5) Any genres of music that you are currently trying to get into? I'm really trying to like Avant-Garde stuff like John Cage's "Water Walk", but my sensibilities war against it. I'm trying. I love his prepared piano stuff, but there's a certain point where I tend to deem something as "music" and something as "random stuff happening", regardless of it being prepared randomness. I get the point, but I want to groove to it. I guess that may be my downfall. 6) In homage to Shaun Of The Dead, of the albums you own, which five would you sacrifice to kill a zombie, and which five would you keep? I'd have a lot of ammunition. And I have too many bullets I'd not fire. |

So this one has a history theme to it.
1) If you could live in any time period for one year, which year would you choose? 2) You're zapped to the ancient world and you have to support yourself, luckily you have free reign over which profession you can pursue, what do you do? 3) With your future knowledge, you can take steal one invention, what do you steal? 4) Again, you possess knowledge about some calamity, and you have the power to alter history, what do you save? 5) You have the chance to leave your mark, be it in literature, warfare, philosophy, etc. what do you do? 6) You can sleep with one historical figure, who do you fuck? |

1) If you could live in any time period for one year, which year would you choose?
As awesome as it would be to live during the Hellenistic period, or Rome during the first century, I think I'd choose 1925. Why 1925? I don't really know... but I think I'd make an awesome bootlegger. 2) You're zapped to the ancient world and you have to support yourself, luckily you have free reign over which profession you can pursue, what do you do? The guy who drums on ships... I don't know what that position is called but it seems like it would be relatively straight forward. I have some knowledge about driving big rig trucks and there seems to be some overlap there with how much speed you need and so on. Also it would be a lot of fun to throw in the occasional blast beat and watch the oarsmen trying to keep up. 3) With your future knowledge, you can take steal one invention, what do you steal? The light bulb, just to show Thomas Edison how it feels! Hell I wouldn't even take credit for it, I'd pass it along to Tesla, with the promise that Heinrich Goebel's widow got a percentage of the profit. 4) Again, you possess knowledge about some calamity, and you have the power to alter history, what do you save? Save the Library of Alexandria and the Library of Baghdad. My moral side is kicking me in the balls for not saying something like "stopping the Holocaust" and believe me, if I could I would do that, but when you stop and think about all the knowledge humanity lost with the destruction of those two nexus', if they were still around we could have been all enlightened as fuck by the Middle Ages and exploring space by now. Hell there may not have even been Nazi's if those two libraries had been preserved. 5) You have the chance to leave your mark, be it in literature, warfare, philosophy, etc. what do you do? This one I'm honestly at a loss on, I think it would be really cool to try and represent Socrates during his trial and do everything in my power to save him. Yeah I dunno, more thinking is required for that one. 6) You can sleep with one historical figure, who do you ****? Theodora, the wife of Byzantine Emperor Justinian I. Why? Well she was... an ancient world stripper who somehow managed to enthrall the most powerful man in the world and become his wife, that's pretty impressive. |

1) If you could live in any time period for one year, which year would you choose?
1969. Without a doubt, around America and Britain. 2) You're zapped to the ancient world and you have to support yourself, luckily you have free reign over which profession you can pursue, what do you do? A man in ancient Greece with his own orhards and vineyards to make a living, living by the coast looking out onto the Atlantic ocean. 3) With your future knowledge, you can take steal one invention, what do you steal? probably a handgun or ak47, jsut to be sure. With ample ammunition as well. 4) Again, you possess knowledge about some calamity, and you have the power to alter history, what do you save? Either Atlantic os Carthage from the Romans. 5) You have the chance to leave your mark, be it in literature, warfare, philosophy, etc. what do you do? Music. Probably the 60's again, psychedelic folk music that was popular at the time. Or experimentation the Beatles were doing. 6) You can sleep with one historical figure, who do you ****? Cleopatra
