I've seen it at least twice. I wouldn't say it was awful, personally. I just wouldn't recommend it over the book, or say it was good. "Not bad". I dunno. READ THE BOOKS. That'll do.

and I haven't watched a movie for weeks and I feel in the mood for a movie and I absolutely love Stephen Fry's voice and I can't even find the book and it's a matter of opinion and I think the movie is OK and it's my life and I can watch anything I want to and there's nothing either of you can do to stop me even if you wanted to and and and... |

Oh certainly, we had to study it at school and I loved it. Later on, I became interested in the connection between Douglas Adam's philosophy (and indeed him abandoning faith) and what he wrote in his books.
Also of great interest to me was his friendship with Richard Dawkins, who records many of Douglas's pearls of wisdom in his books. The only reason I mentioned the film was a casual remark about what I felt like doing tonight. And I want to have a better look at Bill Nighy in the film, because I didn't pay much attention to him first time round. |

1. Which instrument do you prefer in music, be it through playing it yourself or through the music that you listen to?
I quite like drums. I could care less if a song didn't have drums, but I do really like them. Especially in big groups. 2. Are (or were) you wearing green today? I have no green. Just black. Like my heart. 3. What are your three "desert island" novels? If I was on a deserted island I would be in no mood to read. I think I'd probably get random books filled with short stories and excerpts and stuff. I like variety. 4. What is your least favourite genre of music? I really don't like Psychedelic Rock. 5. If you had one million dollars and you had to spend it in one sitting, what would you buy? Our government. I mean, we're trillions of dollars in debt. I don't think they're in a position to turn down a million dollars. If they said no, I'd probably buy a car, a house, pay off any debt that my parents have, clothes and anything else for anyone in my family. I'd probably have to be sitting for awhile. 6. What is your favourite drink? Water. I drink juice and the occasional soda, but water never gets old.

Bass 2. Are (or were) you wearing green today? Yes, an olive-green blouse. 3. What are your three "desert island" novels? I don’t read novels. Books I would want on a deserted island are God Talks With Arjuna: The Bhagavad Gita by Paramahansa Yogananda, The Collected Poems of Wallace Stevens, and The Essential Writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson. 4. What is your least favourite genre of music? Opera, probably – although I don’t know much about it. 5. If you had one million dollars and you had to spend it in one sitting, what would you buy? Set money aside to pay for my children’s educations (up to whatever level they want to go) and for their every need; pay for my mother’s needs for the rest of her life; help family members and friends financially; make a huge contribution to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital; somehow find random strangers who can't make ends meet and help them financially, without them knowing where it’s coming from so they don’t have to feel beholden. 6. What is your favourite drink? Manhattan Special espresso soda |

Dude, that is cool. You are so lucky for that.

Have you been through the "Genres I Dislike Conversion" thread? Simon Pegg would have been a brilliant actor for that... it's a good daydream to have. Maybe someone could get him to do a follow up film. |
