I love that movie too. Never understood all the flak it gets. It's just pure fun, even if it makes no sense that an alien computer screen would be able to display an animated gif.

i think the weirdest logic was in War Games where a super-intelligent computer was convinced a nuclear war is like a game of tic tac toe
i'm pretty sure even the guy in the street knows you can launch every ICBM available and decimate USSR before they can retaliate |

Gotta be Star Wars Episode IV. I hate it, it has an awful story, but I could watch that for the rest of my life. Too many good memories associated with it. 2. Brian Wilson or Paul McCartney? McCartney. Not his solo stuff, but I love most of his Beatles work. 3. If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be? Wow... um... I'll just say A Love Supreme by John Coltrane. 4. Will you regret having lived the life you lived if you were to die soon? The only thing I would regret is that I wasn't able to do more than I did. 5. A boy or a girl? I'm a boy. 6. Is God and the Devil only chemicals in your brain? No they are not. |

1. What's your favourite TV series?
I don't watch too much TV, but when I do I like Scrubs, Futurama, Family Guy, and Doctor Who because I can be a massive nerd at times. 2. Beatles or Rolling Stones? I'm going with The Rolling Stones, mainly because to me songs like "Sister Morphine" seem to make a much more relevant statement about life, in this case the damage caused by drugs. And from the same album, "Wild Horses" is pure emotion throughout. 3. Who would you most like to see perform live in your lifetime? I'll agree with Tom/Goofle and say the Fall. I'd love to just be there as Mark yells out the opening lines of "Touch Sensitive". Couldn't ask for anything more! 4. Will you go out this weekend, and if so where? Tomorrow I shall wake up at six to go for a bike ride north to Holmfirth, which some people will know as the town in which "Last of the Summer Wine" was set, to us known as one of the best towns in West Yorkshire for shopping and having a day out. Anyway, I hope it will turn out OK! 5. Where does your family come from originally? Argyll, Scotland, Exeter in Devon, England and Jurmala, Latvia. As a result I am one of the strangest and most biologically deformed people on this forum. 6. Which do you value more, your vision or your hearing? I value my sight more than any other sense, because I can't imagine a world in darkness. I couldn't do any kind of sport I do to nearly the same standard, I couldn't see other people's faces, I couldn't read... |

1. What's your favourite TV series?
For someone who doesn't watch a whole lot of TV this is a difficult one. What I do watch every few months from front to back is Auf Wiedersehen, Pet! Has to be that then. 2. Beatles or Rolling Stones? The Beatles but rarely listen to them these days. 3. Who would you most like to see perform live in your lifetime? Pink Floyd. 4. Will you go out this weekend, and if so where? Working all weekend 5. Where does your family come from originally? Both sides English and can trace them back to Birmingham for at least 150 years. Never looked further than that. 6. Which do you value more, your vision or your hearing? Impossible to decide. If I could never look at my kids or see the sun rising again then that would kill me but music is everything to me and to not be able to hear a note would do the same. It would have to be vision when reading back at what I wrote.

1. What's your favourite TV series?
I'd say that it's a toss up between Breaking Bad and Twin Peaks. For now I'll say Twin Peaks because I can watch it on Netflix Instant Streaming whenever I want, but only for that reason, the two are tied in my book. 2. Beatles or Rolling Stones? Magical Mystery Tour. That's all I'll say about this one. 3. Who would you most like to see perform live in your lifetime? If I ever get the chance, I would love to go see John Zorn perform when he has Marc Ribot in his side army of musicians. I've seen myriad videos of this and that would be hands down the best concert experience for me. 4. Will you go out this weekend, and if so where? I'll be going out at least twice. First to buy my sister a birthday present, I still have no idea what I'm going to get. Later, me and the main trio of my band will be scoping out a drummer. Looking forward to this, especially since he said that he's "ready to be strange enough to the point of adding a cat to [his] drum kit." Sounds to me like he's ready for us. 5. Where does your family come from originally? Everywhere, but predominately England, France, and Denmark. 6. Which do you value more, your vision or your hearing? I do love seeing art and cinema, but there's no way that I could go Beethoven and lose my hearing. I'd probably end up killing someone if I could not release into music. EDIT: It's odd how when we read the question of which we value more, we assume that we will lose the other.
