1) If you could do one thing to make the world a better place, what would it be? A better place? I don't know, feed the hungry.
2) What is your favorite holiday tradition? Are there any specific to the part of the world you live in? Well Thanksgiving. I do a 3 family run that day in order to get as much stuffing as possible. Nothing too special, but I do enjoy seeing the family. 3) What do you want to be when you "grow up"? A politician. 4) Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside? Grew up in the sticks. Can't stands it. A proud city dweller these days. 5) Why are things easier said than done? Because I'm a good talker, but I can't rewire your patio lights with a dimmer switch without sending someone to the ER. 6) What's your favorite type of cookie? (I might make you some). Anything Peanut Butter

1) If you could do one thing to make the world a better place, what would it be?
- I feel like it's not really that easy to make the world a better place because if it was, I'm sure that people would have already done it. I guess I'm thinking on a grand scale, though; you can do little things to make your little piece of the world better, I believe. With that said, if I could do something to make a massive change for the better, I would do whatever was asked of me. Whatever I had to do, that's what I'd do. 2) What is your favorite holiday tradition? Are there any specific to the part of the world you live in? - I really like what my family does for Christmas Eve. We have the family over to my mother's house (a total of 12 people) and eat finger foods and appetizers. We all give Christmas presents to the others to put under their respective trees to be opened the next morning, and light a fire in the fire place and watch a Christmas-y movie - the past two years it was Love Actually. Then, we open our Christmas Eve presents, which are always a new pair of pajamas and a book. (The pajamas are so our Christmas morning photos are more presentable, and the book is because I'm always so antsy that they give me something to do while waiting to open presents in the morning.) Then, at about four in the morning, my sisters and I all congregate in my little sister's bedroom and play a video game until about 5 in the morning, when we call my mom's cell phone to wake her up (before cell phones, we'd just make loud noises until she got the hint and got up.) Then, we wait until my mom and dad have made coffee, gotten the camera ready, gone out to have a cigarette, etc. After all of that, they let us go into the living room from the family room where we have been waiting impatiently, and we rush to our presents. We have Santa Claus presents, which are the ones our parents were too lazy to wrap, basically, then the presents from our parents and other family, which are wrapped. I know this is a really long answer, but I just remember this all so fondly. This will be the last year that this is the tradition, as I'm probably moving to Vermont this year, and my sister's moving to Cincinnati this summer, so my littlest sister will be the only one who really stays there after this year. Kind of bittersweet, really. 3) What do you want to be when you "grow up"? - An actor / director / playwright. Pretty much what I already am, but actually making a little bit more money than I am currently. 4) Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside? - I really like both. I'd like to live somewhere sort of like where I live currently, which is over 20,000 people and some city stuff going on, but there's still a lot of nature and farm land and such not too far away. I like a lot of people really, but I think living somewhere like NYC would end up depressing me, ultimately. The plan is Burlington, VT. 5) Why are things easier said than done? - Most people aren't keen on putting in the work it takes to get things done, I suppose. The end result is amazing and interesting, but there's a lot of work to be done in between the present and the end result that people don't really want to do. 6) What's your favorite type of cookie? (I might make you some). - Oatmeal raisin. Delish. |

I think give people jobs and health plans and homes and things like that. Also, if something could be done about prejudice, I would do it. I understand the consequences and the difficulties that come with all of these, I'm ignoring those for the sake of a truthful answer. 2) What is your favorite holiday tradition? Are there any specific to the part of the world you live in? I really like Christmas because my sister and I sleep in the same bed and wake up early in the morning to open presents. Obviously it's not as early as it used to be when we were younger, but we've made it a tradition every year. Also, my sister and I buy each other presents the night before and it's always something neither of us expected, I love that. 3) What do you want to be when you "grow up"? A stay at home mom. I want to be a teacher for a few years, take a few off, and then be a teacher when my kids get a bit older. Maybe. 4) Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside? The city. I go to school near the country and I HATE it there. I live in the subarbs, which I guess is an in between, but we don't have cow crossings here. 5) Why are things easier said than done? Because it doesn't take much effort to say something. 6) What's your favorite type of cookie? (I might make you some). Anything with lots of chocolate. Usually something like: PS. I love your questions, NSW. [= |

I would be more compassionate. 2) What is your favorite holiday tradition? Are there any specific to the part of the world you live in? My mom makes scalloped oysters every year and more than half of my family, including myself, eat them solely out of consideration for her. I don't mind the way they taste, but I can never look down the entire time I'm eating them. I'm not sure so much about Texas holiday tradition, but I have noticed that green bean casserole seems to be a big deal with everyone this time of year. 3) What do you want to be when you "grow up"? A great father, more forgiving, more responsible, quite a few things, but I'll start with the basics that desperately need my attention. 4) Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside? I tend to prefer the country, but not all cities are created equal. I did love living in Eugene, OR, because the city was a 20 minute walk from where my house was in the country. 5) Why are things easier said than done? Probably for the same reason that it's easier to give advice than it is to follow it. 6) What's your favorite type of cookie? (I might make you some). Peanut butter, please and thank you. |

Help the environment somehow. 2) What is your favorite holiday tradition? Are there any specific to the part of the world you live in? I dunno. Thanksgiving dinner I guess. 3) What do you want to be when you "grow up"? A musician or stand-up comic. I get great satisfaction when people laugh. 4) Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside? City. When things get too quiet, it's hard for me too think, like if there's a wall of static. 5) Why are things easier said than done? Because sometimes people aren't always going to put in the effort that's needed to get something done. 6) What's your favorite type of cookie? (I might make you some). Lemon poppyseed. |

Urm... 2) What is your favuorite holiday tradition? Are there any specific to the part of the world you live in? I always get the same present every year, well the same concept for a present. My mother always gets me a movie bag. A load of DVDs, popcorn, sweets and drink. So I enjoy that, I spend most of the holiday period watching great films which I love doing. 3) What do you want to be when you "grow up"? I'm already grown up, sort of. I'm doing a job I don't really enjoy and I have no idea what I'd rather be doing, so I'll keep doing it. 4) Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside? City. 5) Why are things easier said than done? Yes. 6) What's your favorite type of cookie? (I might make you some). Chocolate chip. |

1) If you could do one thing to make the world a better place, what would it be?
Take over the world, and start a benign dictatorship. I thought about this one for a while. There are lots of things which I could do on a smaller level, but if I had one thing that I was told I could do, no matter what, it'd either be make a ****load of money so that I had the means to help people, or take over the world/ a country so that i could have the power to make it a better place. I'm in no way the best man for everything, but I'm good with people, I'm diplomatic, and I know how to delegate (and I'm very modest :P). The problem with Democracy is that not only do things just not get done (I'm sure I don't need to say more than Obama + Republican Senate = going nowhere), but it also means that to absolute bollockses who want nothing more than to stop things from happening have as much of a vote as the people actually trying to help. I believe that given the power to decide these things, I could make sure that the right person was in the right position, and cut out all this popularity contest crap which is in essence what democracy comes down to. 2) What is your favorite holiday tradition? Are there any specific to the part of the world you live in? There aren't really any holiday traditions left that are exclusive to ireland, not that I can think of off the top of my head. As for the tradition I love the most... it's a toss up between the awesome food at christmas (and the insane amount of leftovers!) and just that feeling of contentment and merriment, the giving of presents (I actually prefer the feeling of giving presents to getting them, it's just the pains of finding the presents in the first place that gets to me :P), the overall feeling of a happy christmas that I enjoy the most, which i realise isn't quite a tradition, but hey... something something mumble mumble mumble. What's got me bummed this year is that I'm probably gonna be at home for christmas like every year, but I don't know how many people are gonna be there, and while it's nice to see my sister, a large part of me really wishes that I could be in England with my GF, who I really don't see enough 3) What do you want to be when you "grow up"? Profession wise: current plan is to work in This Area (which I find immensely interesting) Make ****loads of money, and then retire into a sort of consultancy role and teach maths to Secondary (High) School kids. Generally, I want to be a father at some point, I do like kids and even as this young age of 21 I do think about 'em a lot, but I'd like to travel the world before getting around to that :P I think, no matter what happens, I'll be happy if I manage to be one of those people that doesn't necessarily make a big difference, but has a positive effect on the lives of everyone who knows me. 4) Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside? While I don't have a car of my own: definitely city. I've lived in the country most of my life, and I'm living bang in the middle of dublin right now, it makes sooooo much of a difference to travel costs (living right around the corner from my uni), how much I'm able to go out, and getting home in the evening. That said, I've always loved the countryside, and I think I'd go mad if I wasn't within walking distance of forests and greenery. Course, there are some places where you can have both (my gf lives in Sheffield, which is pretty much a perfect mix of both), but I think I'd miss ireland if I ever move away, which probably will happen at some point... 5) Why are things easier said than done? Because I have a great imagination and I'm good at talking about fantastic ideas, but in reality the actual acquisition and execution of such plans can be a lot more difficult than they sound... Regarding the patio lights, btw: just get a variable resistor, which off the power at the fuseboard, cut the wire for the patio lights, attach the two cut ends to your variable resistor, make sure the whole thing is insulated properly and bob's your uncle. 6) What's your favorite type of cookie? (I might make you some). I'm gonna go with AwwSugar on this one, because those things look awesome.

Thanks hun! I love reading your answers. 1) If you could do one thing to make the world a better place, what would it be? I'd make everyone's favorite cookies. 2) What is your favorite holiday tradition? Are there any specific to the part of the world you live in? The tradition of not working for 4 days is pretty amazing. 3) What do you want to be when you "grow up"? Helen Mirren 4) Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside? Having lived in a big city my entire life, I'm inclined to say the country to get a change of scenery. But I do have a feeling it would get boring after a while. Why cant I just be independently wealthy and have a city home and a country home. (And a winter home, and a summer home. And a lake house and a beach house....) 5) Why are things easier said than done? I dunno...thats why I asked you. 6) What's your favorite type of cookie? (I might make you some). Peanut butter cookies with little bits of brown sugar baked on the top, so they are a little crunchy when you bite them. MMM.....

1) If you could do one thing to make the world a better place, what would it be?
I would promote my ideas about the world via music 2) What is your favorite holiday tradition? Are there any specific to the part of the world you live in? My favorite holiday tradition would either be Thanksgiving stuffing or getting presents on Chanukah (yeah, I guess I'm Jewish by blood. The way I think of the world, though- I like to say I'm half-Jewish and half-Bulletian) 3) What do you want to be when you "grow up"? Something to do with music. 4) Would you prefer to live in the city or the countryside? Be in? That's a hard question because I really do appreciate both. Live in? City. The countryside doesn't really change. The city does. 5) Why are things easier said than done? Because it's natural instinct to exaggerate what you're capable of in your mind. Only when you think of what you would REALLY have to go through, to do most things that are easier said than done, does it seem hard. 6) What's your favorite type of cookie? (I might make you some). Chocolate chip with JUST the right amount of cinnamon. It's like "Bullet, we're making cookies, we need you to shake the cinnamon. You're good at it." That's happened to me multiple times. |
