I suppose I should answers my own questions even though some were straight of the bat.
1. What do you immediately look for in a partner?
SOH. Someone who can make me laugh at them and with them. I am a piss taking Englishman after all.
2. What are the qualities you look for in a long lasting relationship?
SOH. Again. The ability to appreciate another's likes and dislikes. Being short and eyes that are not dark. I don't trust anyone with overly dark eyes.
3. Has MB turned you into a elitist snob?
Yes a little although I have always thought that my word is the only word but MB has taught me humility.
4. Women should not drink pints. Discuss.
I'm not against women drinking. In fact I encourage it and love people who can enjoy themselves but maybe the fact that their fingers clasped around a pint pot makes me feel inadequate later rofl
5. Do you ever look for music yourself or do you rely on others to point the way?
I always looked for my own music and then relied on MB for a while but now have gone full circle and pride myself that I can look for new music on my own even if it is not liked by many.
6. What annoys you most about MB members? Many bands suck people and just because I have a different view about flavour of the month doesnt mean that I am being elitist or anti elitist for that matter. I listen to many albums that are recent that very few listen to. It's the way things are but It is ironic if you look upon the most popular threads on MB regarding music and the fact that they are just the same as most popular forums disheartens me. Generally there are only 3 or 4 bands really talked about on this site at any one time which negates the individualism of this forum from other forums.

There are a few members on here that never step out of their comfort areas which suggests to me that Music is as much about liking the right band than standing up and being individual.

This week's 6-pack!

1) What is your favorite tradition from your childhood, that you would love to pass on if you were to ever have children (or if you already have children, what one tradition did you pass on that was most important to you?)?
2) What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?
3) What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?
4) If you were a famous rockstar, would you have a pre-show ritual? What would it be?
5) If you didn’t have to work/go to school, how would you spend your days?
6) Do you have a weird relative? Of course you do, we all do. Tell us about them.

1) What is your favorite tradition from your childhood, that you would love to pass on if you were to ever have children (or if you already have children, what one tradition did you pass on that was most important to you?)?

After teaching my kids how to play rpg's and video games I suppose the biggest "tradition" from my childhood would be to pass on my dad's Calvin and Hobbes collection that he gave me onto them. Very much like this:

2) What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?

When I was 16 I was at a coffee shop on their Friday night open mic and it was on the University campus and this frat boy goes up to this girl reading a book with a dirty rag and says "Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?" He had to be taken away in an ambulance with 2nd degree burns to his face and I was pretty sure I would need to be taken away for split rib cage because I was laughing so hard.

3) What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?

Probably my Mr. Bungle "There's a Tractor In My Balls" t-shirt just because of how awesome it is.

4) If you were a famous rockstar, would you have a pre-show ritual? What would it be?

I would like to say that it wouldn't be snorting cocaine out of a supermodel's fanny but I know that's a boldfaced lie.

5) If you didn’t have to work/go to school, how would you spend your days?

ogling the hot indie girls at a nearby coffee shop... more than I already do.

6) Do you have a weird relative? Of course you do, we all do. Tell us about them.

I dunno... I suppose my grandmother would be the weirdest because of her schizophrenia but it's not like... overbearing. Also one of my aunts has OCD which freaks her out if I so much as put a hand on her shoulder.

Well definitely not the family alcoholism? I have no idea really, I've never had any traditions. Oh,watching It's A Wonderful Life while making cookies on Christmas
2) What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?
Oh man. Drunken ranting at people who don't speak English well and don't understand my drunken Midwest slight. Family dinners on dxm with my best friend who was also on dxm. Inventing the "rap law". Butthurt ex boyfriends.
3) What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?
My favorite piece of clothing was a Morrissey shirt I got when I was 13, I no longer have it unfortunately. It's been through a lot with me and I'd worn it for yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars. It was super comfy
4) If you were a famous rockstar, would you have a pre-show ritual? What would it be?
Smoking rock? Idk, taking pills and eating chocolate and dancing around to Lady GaGa
5) If you didn’t have to work/go to school, how would you spend your days?
Making paper flowers,drawing
6) Do you have a weird relative? Of course you do, we all do. Tell us about them.
Question is do I have a normal relative? My grandma is dating her dead husbands brother and some other dude. My uncle was a schizophrenic who used to work at IBM until he went completely nuts and went to live on the streets then he came back without legs and told us he killed priests with his mind, he now lives ina VHS case behind the fridge in our cabin up north. Etc etc

Celebrating Hanukkah and Christmas (I guess, Christmukkah ) with the whole family. Shopping for gifts for two holidays is fun as well, but the spending a lot of money part sort of sucks.

2) What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?
One of my uncles got drunk at our Christmas party and sat at our piano for a few hours apparently singing a Pink Floyd song. It was completely unrecognizable but extremely hilarious. Then he passed out.

3) What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?
A green fitted jacket that I bought in L.A. last year. There pins and stuff all over it now and I love it.

4) If you were a famous rockstar, would you have a pre-show ritual? What would it be?
Pop pills, probably. I'm sure that's what most rockstars end up doing at some point lol

5) If you didn’t have to work/go to school, how would you spend your days?
Playing music, listening to music, playing video games and surfing the Internet.

6) Do you have a weird relative? Of course you do, we all do. Tell us about them.
My uncle (not the drunk one). He was adopted by my maternal grandparents when he was young, and a few years ago he went on a quest to find his birth mother. Completely understandable. He found out that she died about 15 years before that, but he did meet another kid that she had, most likely with the same guy. So my uncle met his sister in Vancouver and started a really weird relationship with her. He left his 2 kids and wife of 20 years and moved out west to be with this woman, and we haven't heard from him directly in about 5 years. I also have a cousin on my dad's side who lives in Vancouver as well, who just got arrested for the 6th time for possession of copious amounts of different drugs... majorly ****ed up.

1) What is your favorite tradition from your childhood, that you would love to pass on if you were to ever have children (or if you already have children, what one tradition did you pass on that was most important to you?)?
Having family parties for everything.
I think spending time with your extended family is really important, it's also what kept me learning Spanish and kept me close to my heritage.
When we got our house renovated, that all stopped and my sister grew up differently than I did, without the ability to speak Spanish or the appreciation for the Puerto Rican heritage or even the love for our family and parties that I have.

2) What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?
I've had a lot of funny moments.
The funniest thing as of late was listening to my hypochondriac suitemate tell us about all of the times she thought something was wrong with her. We were all cracking up.
In retrospect, of course, it isn't really funny, it must be scary to always think you have some sort of disease or sickness... But the way she said it was so hilarious.

3) What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?
I have a black sweater that I bought in the men's section of Kohl's. It's comfortable and feels like I'm wearing a boyfriend's sweater or something.

4) If you were a famous rockstar, would you have a pre-show ritual? What would it be?
When I was in my band, they literally made a pre-show ritual. I was the only girl, and before every show, no matter where we were, they would all air hump me.
It was the weirdest and most embarrassing experience of my life.
But it was funny, and made the nervousness go away.

6) Do you have a weird relative? Of course you do, we all do. Tell us about them.
My grandmother is pretty weird.
She buys really cheap things that look expensive, and buys expensive cars to make her look rich, and when she gives a gift, she spends a lot of money on it and then leaves the price tag on to make her look rich.
I don't know if that's weird to everyone else, but I find it really peculiar.

Um, my family doesn't have much rituals. Sunday dinner?

2) What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?
Probably being stoned last summer, with a tent, fire, an ipod, some speakers, singing micheal jackson. it was just after he died. or in china when we went to the great wall/almost got kidnapped.

3) What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?
I have a pair of black trousers that are like skinny jeans, cept not jeans. I love them. And a blazer. Or my polka dot dress.

4) If you were a famous rockstar, would you have a pre-show ritual? What would it be?
A piss (wouldn't want to piss myself would I?), some sex, and a bevvy.

5) If you didn’t have to work/go to school, how would you spend your days?
Sleeping definitely, that and drinking, and socialising.

6) Do you have a weird relative? Of course you do, we all do. Tell us about them.
Ugh my mums prodigal sister, whom I've never met in my 18yrs. She's weird. My mum went to her house (she doesn't go out, she has a fear of people and open spaces) and looked in her window to see if she was there, and she like walked up to the window and closed the blinds in my mums face. I never count her when I count aunts and uncles, I forget she exists to be honest. She never attended her parents funerals because she's a creep.

I don't intend to have any myself, but I won't cop out, so I'd say the Polish Christmas traditions. Apart from making the whole thing a lot more interesting than it would, the food is bloody awesome.

2) What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?
I don't keep track. I just enjoy the moment and move on.

3) What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?
Probably my Travis Bickle-esque jacket, because it's a) hella warm and b) lasted me a good 5 or 6 years.

4) If you were a famous rockstar, would you have a pre-show ritual? What would it be?
A bottle of Bushmill's Black.

5) If you didn’t have to work/go to school, how would you spend your days?
Dunno. Probably just work on a bunch of ideas, eat, sleep, exercise, socialise, etc etc etc...

6) Do you have a weird relative? Of course you do, we all do. Tell us about them.
Weirdly enough, I don't think I do. I'm not in touch with any relatives outside the immediate family anymore.

I still haven't decided to have any... Pretty sure I don't, but things could change as I get older. If I did though I would love to pass on my families hunting and outdoor tradition. Spending hours of time deep and alone in the woods has a wonderful impact on yourself.

2) What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?
I really don't know.... Ive been Stoned off my ass laughing till I cant breath to many times

3) What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?
If I had to pick Ive had some hats I love, I buy a new Braves hat like once a year but every hat Ive owned usually holds a little special place.

4) If you were a famous rockstar, would you have a pre-show ritual? What would it be?
A Couple Jack & Cokes and pass around a nice quality joint... I think that would put me in the right place before I go on stage everytime.

5) If you didn’t have to work/go to school, how would you spend your days?
Surf the Web, Find out which friends are off, listen to music, watch a ton of movies, and when I have the money travel.

6) Do you have a weird relative? Of course you do, we all do. Tell us about them.
I have a lot of weird family.... I have a great uncle which I see like every 4 years that takes the cake, He lives in the a Tepee some parts of the year, he believes hes a telepathic and him a woman in Australia communicate to each other and are the only 2 people that understand the world, His wife is strange too they got a divorce then she changed her name from Kate to Heather and got remarried again, because Kate wouldn't take him back but heather would. I wish he did drugs it would explain it... but most of my family blames it on Vietnam.

Ditto. Can't remember if we had any traditions, it was a pretty normal/boring childhood.

2) What was the funniest thing you have ever experienced?
Seeing Dylan Moran live in Dublin a few years ago, i nearly pissed myself laughing. Best stand-up comedian ever.

3) What is your favorite piece of clothing? Why?
My red and white plaid cotton shirt. It's soft and comfy, and i always wear it over t-shirts for that 'grunge' look.

4) If you were a famous rockstar, would you have a pre-show ritual? What would it be?
Open a bottle of JD and pass it around, smoke a few joints, put on a few tunes and enjoy the company of a few ladies. Typical rock star stuff. Maybe a few video games aswell... while stoned.

5) If you didn’t have to work/go to school, how would you spend your days?
I'd go travelling for a while first, see Europe, Asia and America and come back with lots of memories and stories to tell. Other than that i'd laze about listening to music, watching films, surfing the web, meeting up with friends, have a few drinks. But i'd also try and take up a new hobby like painting or something.

6) Do you have a weird relative? Of course you do, we all do. Tell us about them.
My family is actually quite normal, the usual sports and socialising types. Come to think of it i'm probably the weirdest! Although i do have a cousin who's a really reclusive drug user and another who's a really annoying stereotypical myspace emo girl. That's about as weird as my extended family gets.
