Here's a good malt for you:

I like MacAllen's Cask Strength myself, simply because it has a higher ABV than most other scotches. I'm really not a Scotch connoisseur. A lot of times I prefer low shelf scotches to single malts. Chivas Regal 12 is kinda' my go to, and that's just because of my Hunter S. Thompson fascination. You're probably better off askin' Lee.

Janszoon: I'm already in that barrel.

Satch: I'll check that out. I just want to find a good variety of single malts to try, as most of the stuff I've tried is blended. Not that it's bad, I mean... I love it, but it's one of those things where you want to see if it gets even better, if you know what I mean. I like having a go-to, and mine is J&B, but I'm adventurous with scotch. I want to eventually find out that I've been drinking crap all this time.
But I don't want to spend too much money doing it, if you know what I mean. hehe.

truthfully, Inver House was my starter Scotch (here's a clue, it comes in a 32 oz. plastic jug.) I actually still like it.

You've not mention one word about Glenlevit. I'm disappointed ..

Laphroaig is where it's at regarding Scotch. I'm looking at my empty bottle now and wishing I had £25 to get another bottle tomorrow

Oops...I thought that maybe the whole Plastic Jug reference might disqualify me from connoiseur status and thus tarnish the reputation of such a great beverage by association alone. I mean c'mon, I'll drink ****ing kerosene.
