It upsetted me pretty bad, I love Les Paul, I read his biography, he had a great attitude, always happy, told funny stories. He's lucky to live to 94, he narrowly escaped death twice, he was in a car accident and he got electrocuted in his studio.

I regret not seeing him play live in NYC.

Wait, do you mean just biography or did he write an autobiography??

Yeah, he wrote an autobiography Les Paul: In His Own Words. There was two books that were recently released The Early Years of the Les Paul Legacy 1915-1963, and the sequel The Modern Era of the Les Paul Legacy: 1968-2008. I also have him in a collection of biographies/interveiws of guitar player from GW.

There is also the DVD that's pretty good, Les Paul: Chasing Sound, another one I would recommend is Tom Down: The Language of Music. I saw both first on American Masters on PBS - rent it, buy it, or youtube it, they're a must see. Both are incredible tales of two the most important people in music.
