The way i see it, the term benevolent dictator was right in the premise of the question so yes i do think you either grant that premise in order to answer the question or else the question is disingenuously worded and frankly not worth answering.

Nah, you're just being smart. There isn't a person here who wasn't entirely clear on what I meant. Do I need to use puppets and diagrams in future? Come on man, I get the joke, but admit it was a joke, or at least a piece of sarcasm. Nobody could be that pedantic.

For instance, if a cop pulled you over and said "Excuse me sir have you been drinking?" are you going to be looking guiltily at that bottle of orange soda? I understand it's a joke, but you really should admit it.

Wow. Ok, you’re gonna take what I said personally. NEVER did I say that you weren’t clear in your meaning. All I said was … oh fuck it. I can’t do anything when it comes to someone else’s reading comprehension. You’ve basically taken a self-referentially answered statement and turned it into a personal butthurt. The “joke” (your interpretation, not mine) was that I don’t have the experience of alcohol drinking, so I was going for “drinking” in the general form. Take a stress pill dude.

Difficult though it is to tear my attention away from this examination of the word "drinking", I am drawn back to Marie's answer:
