I feel that but I feel like I can still make connections with people as a blind person to ease my life and mitigate the social consequences whereas if I can't speak I'm essentially a non-person in society.

1. Would you rather live entirely alone, with every possible luxury and comfort man or woman can have, all the financial security you could ever want, but absolutely no contact whatever with another human being even for a second, or live as you are now? I live alone now which I love, but no human contact is the deal breaker. I don't care about luxury, I just want to enjoy time with my family and friends.

2. What sort of headphones do you use? A Pink gaming headphone/mic is used with my PC and wireless Bluetooth headphones for music.

3. If you had faith, when, if ever, did you lose it and why? I was indoctrinated by the Catholic church and eventually moved away from it's strict rules and lack of roles for women in the church. I then accepted being non-denomination Christian, but lost interest in it's ideologies and am now spiritual and don't associate with religion.

4. If you had to choose between being blind, deaf or dumb, which would you pick? Dumb, because at least I can write down what I'm wanting to say or use technology that's out there for this.

5. How are your sea legs (i.e., do you get seasick easily or are you a born sailor, or something in between)?
From my knowledge I am fine but haven't really been in boats that often. I did go sailing a couple of years ago and although bumpy I felt fine.

6. What is your take on cryptocurrency? TBH I don't really have a take/opinion.

1. Would you rather live entirely alone, with every possible luxury and comfort man or woman can have, all the financial security you could ever want, but absolutely no contact whatever with another human being even for a second, or live as you are now?

In the last ten years or so I've realised how important it is to have any sort of human contact. The lack of it (I use it for you guys in the broadest possible terms, of course) made me come back here when I had intended to stay away, so no; you can't give me enough money or luxury to take away all human contact.

2. What sort of headphones do you use?

Just bought a pair of OneOdio over the ear ones, which are wireless but can also be connected via cable, which I wanted. Bought them a week ago or so, therefore, as you might imagine (and you'd be right) they're still in the box! I also have a wireless pair of Energy Sistem over the ear ones. They're blue.

3. If you had faith, when, if ever, did you lose it and why?

I was never big into religion, but I think if I lost the little faith I had it was when my mam started to recover from the cancer, then relapsed and died. Not cool, God! Not cool at all. Oh wait: you don't exist. Well.

4. If you had to choose between being blind, deaf or dumb, which would you pick?

Dumb, cos I already am. Nah, I need my hearing to be able to enjoy music and I need my sight so I can write and read, but if I was dumb I could see to write things down and could hear whether people understood me.

5. How are your sea legs (i.e., do you get seasick easily or are you a born sailor, or something in between)?

Terrible. I haven't been to sea in about forty years, but whenever I did I felt really sick (never got sick). Though then again, I was fine on the Shannon cruise...

6. What is your take on cryptocurrency?

Don't understand it, don't want to. It's never going to be a thing no matter how much Musk pushes it. The fact that the value of a bitcoin can apparently fluctuate wildly from day to day, even hour to hour, makes it hard, even impossible to see how it could ever become a viable currency. And not everyone has a computer and access to the internet. So there.

Not really a classical fan but I guess I'd say Beethoven's Fur Elise

3. Would you rather live under a benevolent dictator or an incompetent president? Do benevolent dictators exist?

4. What material do you believe has had the most impact on humanity? unfortunately, oil.

5. What’s your favourite plant or flower? Venus fly trap

6. What mystery would you like to see solved? Who shot JR?

I suppose alone. I'm not particularly social either way, so what the hell. It would be nice if that place could fit a soulmate though.

2. What sort of headphones do you use?

Roland RH-2000

3. If you had faith, when, if ever, did you lose it and why?

Never ha, never will. One might call me a strident atheist, religion had always either baffled or annoyed me.

4. If you had to choose between being blind, deaf or dumb, which would you pick?

Blind or dumb. Blind I guess

5. How are your sea legs (i.e., do you get seasick easily or are you a born sailor, or something in between)?

A born sailor.

6. What is your take on cryptocurrency?

It will either disappear in a couple of years or it will completely change the world (for the worst)

1. What is your favourite piece of classical music?
Pretty much an impossible question to answer, but for now I'll go with Mahler's 9th symphony
2. At what age did you begin drinking?
At 18, like a good little law-abiding citizen (by Norwegian law anyway)
3. Would you rather live under a benevolent dictator or an incompetent president?
An incompetent president. Easier to remove from power
4. What material do you believe has had the most impact on humanity?
Maybe copper, because of its application as a conductor of electricity, but yeah oil is also a good answer
5. What’s your favourite plant or flower?
Don't have one
6. What mystery would you like to see solved?
I think it would be cool to know what actually happened in the Dyatlov Pass Incident, although it probably isn't the most important mystery to solve in the grand scheme of things

1. What is your favourite piece of classical music?
One of Bach's violin concertos but I don't know which and I can't be bothered to look it up
2. At what age did you begin drinking?
15
3. Would you rather live under a benevolent dictator or an incompetent president?
Incompetent president (assuming you can call any dictator benevolent for the sake of argument). Even when said dictator would not commit cruelties and the people would prosper (which is probably practically impossible), that kind of authority is unethical and will probably lead to something much worse than an incompetent president, if only because of the issue of succession. The glorifying of the idea of benevolent dictators is revolting to me and a pet peeve because it seems to be fashionable among insecure edgy people. It's just fascism in sheep's clothing. Sorry for the rant
4. What material do you believe has had the most impact on humanity?
In the end probably wood? Since it was probably both the first form of fuel and material for tools
5. What’s your favourite plant or flower?
Oak trees.
6. What mystery would you like to see solved?
Any of the big physics mysteries. The incompatibility of quantum physics and general relativity, dark matter/energy etc.

That was already solved.

and Mucha, no: no soulmate. I made it entirely clear you had two choices: the life you have now or one of complete luxury but total isolation and loneliness. Not even to talk or message another human being. Basically the last person left alive I guess.

1. What is your favourite piece of classical music?

I agree it's hard to choose one. Might be "Adagio for Strings" by Barber, but probably in the end another Beethoven fan, I'd be going for "Moonlight Sonata".

2. At what age did you begin drinking?

About I don't know 23, and pretty much gave it up a year or so later. Haven't had an alcoholic drink since probably 1990, if that. Don't need one.

3. Would you rather live under a benevolent dictator or an incompetent president?

FYI, I think benevolent dictators do/did exist, for instance Julius Caesar, being the first one, and probably all the Roman Emperors who followed. With a few exceptions, once you followed the law you were basically okay. The Roman Empire looked after its people.

Even at that though, no, I agree: incompetent president. For one thing, they'll probably be too incompetent to do anything really dangerous.

4. What material do you believe has had the most impact on humanity?

Plastic, specifically silicone, with the advent of the silicon chip.

5. What’s your favourite plant or flower?

I'm partial to roses but I really love sunflowers.

6. What mystery would you like to see solved?

Why doesn't anyone like me? Oh wait: that will never be solved. Okay then, my second choice is who was Jack the Ripper?
