1. What job, which you know you will never have, would you like to experience for a week?
I'd love to have a shot at ATC. "Air India 4070, climb to three-zero-five, maintain heading. Air India 4070? Please respond. Air India? Supervisor? SUPER-visor!!!!" 2. How many languages can you speak? Well we learned Spanish, Irish and French in school, so I can barely speak English. I can understand a little Irish and some basic Spanish or French, but don't ask me to order in a restaurant or anything. 3. Blinds, curtains (drapes, for you Americans), shutters, other? I used to have curtains but they were heavy and annoying and got dirty very quickly, plus made the room really dark (what do you mean, you're supposed to open them during the day???) so now I have blinds. They're cool and all but I can't put up my insect nets, which makes summer a pain. Boo. They can be very annoying too; the slightest strain on the cord and suddenly you have blinds closing (or opening) at a 45 degree angle, and once they're that way good luck in ever getting them straight again. On balance I would go back to curtains. 4. Do you think life would, in general, be better or worse if somehow the internet had never been invented? Well, you lovely people would never have met me. So, obviously, better. Much better, for you. 5. Do you believe, if we go out into space, we should concentrate on new worlds to colonise or strip-mining those we find in order to keep Earth going? I think every available planet should be made into a factory to supply the ever-hungry Earth and its insatiable inhabitants. Except any factory planets. 6. Who’s your favourite film composer? I love John Barry and Maurice Jarre, but I think Hans Zimmer takes it. If we extend to TV, then Carly Paradis and Ramin The Jawa. Sorry, Ramin Djawadi.

Did you have a recent altercation with your blinds or something.

Not recent, no. I find they tend to start ****ing up fairly soon after being put up. One of the main things that happens is the cord that raises them loses the sort of little clip thing that holds all the cords together (think a button on a duffle coat/anorak maybe, you know that sort of shape) and once it goes the cords all start operating independent of each other, which means it's next to impossible to get them to raise or lower the blind as it's supposed to be. The chances of getting it back together are virtually nil, so basically expect your blinds to work for a while but eventually to be all over the place, and there's nothing you can do unless you want to pay to have them replaced or repaired. Spoiler: I don't.

I learned early on that when you lower the blinds,
try not to bang them on the window sill because that's when one or both of those little buttons on the bottom that hold the cords together will eventually break into bits. We have vertical blinds throughout the house - much better and a lot more adjustable than some old damn ugly curtains. |

1. Given the current climate of lifting of restrictions and mandates, but also given that whether we like it or not, Covid is still here, what precautions, if any, are you taking of your own accord?
2. What, if anything, is the most interesting shape you ever saw in a cloud? 3. If you left school early, or didn't go on to higher education (or don't plan to) do you wish you had, and if you have done, do you feel it was a good or bad choice overall? 4. What is your opinion on autonomous (driverless) cars? 5. What, in general, is your preferred type of comedy? 6. Which of the seven dwarfs do you most identify with?

1. Given the current climate of lifting of restrictions and mandates, but also given that whether we like it or not, Covid is still here, what precautions, if any, are you taking of your own accord? Only go out when I have to, will wear a mask around others that wear a mask, was pretty much a social distancer anyway, and, most importantly, stay vaccinated
2. What, if anything, is the most interesting shape you ever saw in a cloud? Good question 3. If you left school early, or didn't go on to higher education (or don't plan to) do you wish you had, and if you have done, do you feel it was a good or bad choice overall? Yes, yes, and yes. 4. What is your opinion on autonomous (driverless) cars? They kind of scare me to be honest, what if there is a computer defect? 5. What, in general, is your preferred type of comedy? Verbal, British comedy, Monty Python in particular 6. Which of the seven dwarfs do you most identify with? Grumpy |

Last weeks
1. What job, which you know you will never have, would you like to experience for a week? I’d love to try being a dog walker and find out if it’s as glorious as I think it is. 2. How many languages can you speak? English (barely) some say Scottish could be considered it’s own language and I’ve been trying to learn German on and off the last year 3. Blinds, curtains (drapes, for you Americans), shutters, other? I have blinds and curtains. 4. Do you think life would, in general, be better or worse if somehow the internet had never been invented? I think it would be better for social aspects of life but for medicine and other similar jobs then no. 5. Do you believe, if we go out into space, we should concentrate on new worlds to colonise or strip-mining those we find in order to keep Earth going? No should we **** 6. Who’s your favourite film composer? I don’t have one This weeks 1. Given the current climate of lifting of restrictions and mandates, but also given that whether we like it or not, Covid is still here, what precautions, if any, are you taking of your own accord? I don’t wear masks but I am cautious around others, stay out of their space all the usual stuff. I test regularly although Scotland has stopped providing lateral flow tests for free so I guess that will stop soon since energy and petrol prices are through the roof! 2. What, if anything, is the most interesting shape you ever saw in a cloud? lol I used to love doing this but haven’t in so long. I can’t remember sadly. 3. If you left school early, or didn't go on to higher education (or don't plan to) do you wish you had, and if you have done, do you feel it was a good or bad choice overall? Hmm I sometimes wish I went in to higher education and got a degree but then I sit in my job where over 50% of the staff have useless degrees so there is that. 4. What is your opinion on autonomous (driverless) cars? I love driving, driverless cars sound **** 5. What, in general, is your preferred type of comedy? Scottish comedy lol. I rarely find non-Scottish comedians funny. If any of you want any recommendations Kevin Bridges is the man. 6. Which of the seven dwarfs do you most identify with? If I can only pick one then Sleepy for sure.

Thank you for coming up with 6 questions every week TrollHeart <3
1. Given the current climate of lifting of restrictions and mandates, but also given that whether we like it or not, Covid is still here, what precautions, if any, are you taking of your own accord? I can't really do much as I work in a public library but will continue to wear my mask and possibly I'll add gloves due to the unvaccinated coming in soon. 2. What, if anything, is the most interesting shape you ever saw in a cloud? I can't remember anything too amazing but maybe a Dinosaur? 3. If you left school early, or didn't go on to higher education (or don't plan to) do you wish you had, and if you have done, do you feel it was a good or bad choice overall? It was a good choice but I wish I had chosen software programming instead. 4. What is your opinion on autonomous (driverless) cars? Great, probably cause less accidents but I would be still at the wheel just in case. There has to be decent laws. 5. What, in general, is your preferred type of comedy? Funny? Lol I know I am a smart arse. As an example of comedy I like is: 6. Which of the seven dwarfs do you most identify with? Sleepy, I love my sleep and am often tired as f*ck
