1. What’s your main source of news?
I don't have a main source because I try to read a evenly-spread variety of sources that aren't bat-shit crazy. 2. When did you last give/get flowers? Twice in the last month. The most recent ones are starting to look rather sad. 3. When were you last at the cinema? September, 2019. 4. What was/is your favourite subject at school? Phenomenology. 5. What’s your level of expertise in swimming? I don't know about "expertise," but I grew up swimming all of the time and was even "that lifeguard with a mohawk" for a few months. 6. What are three things you would do if you won the lottery? Move out of the country; research charities in need; hold back a good chunk to live comfortably, but not necessarily extravagantly. |

I think La la Land when it came out, so years ago 4. What was/is your favourite subject at school? History 5. What’s your level of expertise in swimming? No I tutor students in maths sometimes but I'm a physics teaching assistant at my university. Anyway, how much you enjoy a subject in school is not always an indicator of how much you enjoy practising or teaching it yourself. If you're taught well, history is always very enjoyable at any level; in comparison high school math is less exciting than the real thing. And besides, history has always been more of a passive interest for me and I think I'm better suited to teach maths or physics than other subjects

1. What’s your main source of news?
I usually go to Reuters first. I also toggle between the New York Times and BBC. Been reading/watching WION/Gravitas (Indian global news) for Ukraine analysis. But I check a wide variety of news sources. 2. When did you last give/get flowers? For my birthday this year. 3. When were you last at the cinema? In 2019 (saw Rocketman). 4. What was/is your favourite subject at school? History 5. What’s your level of expertise in swimming? Definitely not an expert, and I don’t swim often – but when I do, probably just slightly above average only because I’m fast. 6. What are three things you would do if you won the lottery? Assuming I won millions: (1) Share with my daughter and son, my nieces and sisters, and my best friend and her son (in a special needs trust for him); (2) ongoing charitable donations; (3) pay off in full my parent college loans and mortgage. |
