1. How many times have you been out of the country?

Only once.

2. How hard do you/did you have to study for exams?

Despite my intelligence, I actually suck in traditional classroom settings because that's just not really how I learn things, so: hard.

3. What’s your favourite holiday?

Samhain.

4. Ignoring science and physics totally, if you had to eliminate one planet in our solar system, which one would it be?

Jupiter. Purely because of what would happen in the aftermath when science and physics becomes a thing again.

5. What’s the most famous/your favourite landmark you’ve visited or seen?

Edgar Allan Poe's house.

6. You have a choice of only two occupations: gravedigger or working at an abattoir. Which do you choose?

Gravedigger. Hell yeah. Play me some mother****ing Zeal & Ardor, and watch I Sell The Dead at night while drinking after a shift.

1. What’s eating Gilbert Grape?

Women under 25.

2. Which way to the front?

Backwards, you passed it already.

3. Why always me?

Because we are god's unwanted children.

4. Will you?

Depends. Am I gonna lose half?

5. How many times must I say it?

At least twice, but no more than four times. Bass kind of wears on your ears, I'm getting older.

6. Who knows what tomorrow brings in a world few hearts survive?

Well if few hearts survive, it's my educated assumption that tomorrow will bring a lot of heart attacks.

1. How many times have you been out of the country?

Twice.

2. How hard do you/did you have to study for exams?

Squirrel!

3. What’s your favourite holiday?

Billy.

4. Ignoring science and physics totally, if you had to eliminate one planet in our solar system, which one would it be?

Lets go the Taco Bell route and obliterate Uranus.

5. What’s the most famous/your favourite landmark you’ve visited or seen?

The original Buddy Guys Legends before they moved it.

6. You have a choice of only two occupations: gravedigger or working at an abattoir. Which do you choose?

Butcher by day, Grave Digger by night.

Now, let's all forget our troubles with a big bowl of ice cream!

1. What’s eating Gilbert Grape?

What is a Korowaian warrior?

2. Which way to the front?

<---------------->

3. Why always me?

You're always you.

4. Will you?

I'll always me.

5. How many times must I say it?

That many.

Apparently, dead hearts.

A week behind, I'm afraid:

1. What is the biggest adventure you have ever been on?

Two that I'm proud of: (i) six months out of high school, me and a buddy drifted around Morocco for three months. That was my first time abroad and made a big impression on me. (ii) fed up with the English winter, me and different buddy took an ad-hoc southbound road trip and ended up in Greece, where we both got jobs picking oranges for a while.

2. What religion were you brought up as, and do you still adhere to it?

Catholic, then agnostic, now atheist.

3. What’s the craziest thing you ever did with your hair?

Grew it like Batlord's: to the shoulders and beyond!

4. If you had the chance, whose life would you like to live for a week (can be someone alive or dead, famous or not, either gender)?

Taking the opportunity to see the world from a completely different perspective, being Cleopatra for a week would be interesting (though preferably not the week she got bit by an asp.)

5. What hope do you see for the future?

To see any hope, you have to squint through the aperture labelled "Fix Global Warming"

6. What is the most boring book you ever read, or tried to read?

Plenty of boring books out there, but one that was particularly disappointing for me was "Ten Days That Shook The World" by John Reed. I managed to finish it and learned how quickly the glamour of righteous revolution turned into endless dreary meetings: "Lenin received a delegation from the Siberian Postal Workers Union, ratifying a statement of solidarity, which had been unanomously agreed by a sub-committee of representatives drawn from the ten autonomous regional directorates, etc etc"

1. How many times have you been out of the country?

6 (England x 4, France x 1, China x 1).

2. How hard do you/did you have to study for exams?

Like rubber soul, I have a photographic memory, which I tended to coast on (not such a good thing). In subjects involving reading, writing or research I did well without studying much. For anything involving math, though, I did poorly if I didn’t study or keep up with lessons and practice.

3. What’s your favourite holiday?

Thanksgiving (US)

4. Ignoring science and physics totally, if you had to eliminate one planet in our solar system, which one would it be?

Jupiter. That great red spot is like a zit and throws off my feng shui perspective.

5. What’s the most famous/your favourite landmark you’ve visited or seen?

The Beatles’ childhood homes in Liverpool.

6. You have a choice of only two occupations: gravedigger or working at an abattoir. Which do you choose?

Gravedigger definitely. I’d rather deal with deceased humans than torture and kill defenseless animals.

Now, let's all forget our troubles with a big bowl of ice cream!

1. What’s eating Gilbert Grape?

a praying mantis

2. Which way to the front?

Wherever Putin’s goofy convoy goes.

3. Why always me?

Because you dress provocatively.

4. Will you?

Yes and sometimes no.

5. How many times must I say it?

Love means having to say you’re sorry every 15 minutes.

6. Who knows what tomorrow brings in a world few hearts survive?

Richard Gere to sweep you off your feet, apparently.

Late to my own funeral...

1. How many times have you been out of the country?

Hrair*

2. How hard do you/did you have to study for exams?

Oddly enough, I didn't study terribly hard but I always seemed to do well. I think I have/had decent recall. What was the question again?

3. What’s your favourite holiday?

Halloween

4. Ignoring science and physics totally, if you had to eliminate one planet in our solar system, which one would it be?

Uranus, so that joke would no longer make sense. It's the arsehole of nowhere anyway.

5. What’s the most famous/your favourite landmark you’ve visited or seen?

Big Ben or The Eiffel Tower I think.

6. You have a choice of only two occupations: gravedigger or working at an abattoir. Which do you choose?

Like it seems everyone else, gimme a shovel, man: I dig graves!

Now, let's all forget our troubles with a big bowl of ice cream!

1. What’s eating Gilbert Grape?

A flesh-eating virus.

2. Which way to the front?

Well, I wouldn't start from here.

3. Why always me?

Because I'm not you

4. Will you?

You will. (This is an Irish idiosyncrasy: when we ask a question - usually one we know or can expect to know the answer to - we also answer it. "Do you want a cup of tea?,You do." "Are you coming into town? You are." "Will you have another cake? You will." And so on. We're a weird people.)

5. How many times must I say it?

In that sentence? Once.

6. Who knows what tomorrow brings in a world few hearts survive?

A lot more job openings.

* Do you know your Watership Down?
the fact that cardinal numbers only go up to four, with any number above that being called hrair, "many"

1a. What’s the last thing you do before going to bed?

2. Who do you think there should be a statue of in your city?

3. What’s your favourite soup?

4. When were you last in an actual library?

5. What’s your typing speed? (If you don't know, take a minute to test yourself)

6. Daphne, Velma, Shaggy or Fred?

1. How do you/did you get on with your parents? (If this is too personal, you can answer the alternate question). Well, my mother is dead and my Dad is a thousand miles away so you figure it out.

1a. What’s the last thing you do before going to bed? That's very personal, Trollheart

2. Who do you think there should be a statue of in your city?
Divine

3. What’s your favourite soup? Chicken Noodle

4. When were you last in an actual library? Probably three years ago before the covid hit.

5. What’s your typing speed? (If you don't know, take a minute to test yourself) What do I look like, a secretary? I don't know, maybe 60 words a minute?

6. Daphne, Velma, Shaggy or Fred? Velma, I prefer intellectuals

So where are the important questions this week?

1. How many times have you been out of the country?

Four if you include my day trip to Canada when I was in Maine. That was my second time in Canada.

2. How hard do you/did you have to study for exams?

I barely ever studied. Don't confuse that with me bragging about good grades. My grades were terrible because I barely ever studied.

3. What’s your favourite holiday?

I generally hate coordinated celebration but I have always loved Thanksgiving because of the gluttony factor.

4. Ignoring science and physics totally, if you had to eliminate one planet in our solar system, which one would it be?

Neptune doesn't even do anything.

5. What’s the most famous/your favourite landmark you’ve visited or seen?

Most famous? Eiffel Tower I guess. Favorite? Carsbad Caverns. I had the closest thing to a religious experience I've ever had down there. I got emotional. The connection to the Earth was very real. I was alone most of the time besides quietly passing a few other visitors so the isolation and "one-ness" with the Earth was palpable.

6. You have a choice of only two occupations: gravedigger or working at an abattoir. Which do you choose?

Graves! Omg I would dig graves so hard.

78 according to this: https://www.livechat.com/typing-speed-test/

Shaggy because I know he's got the herb. He might be a brokeboy who only buys schwag though.

1. How do you/did you get on with your parents? (If this is too personal, you can answer the alternate question).
I'm very close with my mother and we get on well. My father never took part in my upbringing and I know him as just an aquaintance instead of a 'dad', but we get on well too, albeit in a far less intimate way
