1. What is the crime level like in your immediate area?
Not bad at all. 2. What criminal law do you think should be abolished? (Yeah we all know what 98% of respondents are going to put here, don't we?) 40 U.S.C. § 5104(e)(2)(C) This would allow bums to enrich themselves in the library of congress. 3. And what offence, currently not a crime, would you make one? Asking people to watch a video on their phone that is longer than 60 seconds. 4. In a "Purge" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Purge situation, name three crimes you would commit. I'd rob a bank, slap an old lady, and then oscillate my penis at the police like a helicopter. 5. Say you were the mayor/president/governor. What would you do to lower crime rates?. I'd make it mandatory for all citizens to spend an hour of their day reading dumb **** on MusicBanter. 6. Good or bad, what do you consider the most significant law passed in your state/country in the last ten years or so? Legalization of gay marriage - US |

I don't know. In my current neighbourhood its probably low because it's full of old people, but I'm moving back to my old neighbourhood which is of the shabby kind and I used to hear people screaming on the street at 3 am so probably higher there 2. What criminal law do you think should be abolished? (Yeah we all know what 98% of respondents are going to put here, don't we?) Something with corruption or whatever 3. And what offence, currently not a crime, would you make one? The traditional appearance of Zwarte Piet 4. In a "Purge" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Purge situation, name three crimes you would commit. I'd visit some billionaire and 1. Kick him in the nuts if he's a guy/do a titpunch if she's a woman 2. Spray paint communist flags all over their mansion 3. Steal a whole lot of their money 5. Say you were the mayor/president/governor. What would you do to lower crime rates?. Reduce wealth disparity 6. Good or bad, what do you consider the most significant law passed in your state/country in the last ten years or so? Gay marriage is 10 years and about 1 month ago in Holland but I say it still counts

Most spots without a dog get stuff stolen and you're likely to have a tweaker **** with you if you're out at night looking like an unaware ****withable person. 2. What criminal law do you think should be abolished? (Yeah we all know what 98% of respondents are going to put here, don't we?) Treason. 3. And what offence, currently not a crime, would you make one? Enforcing the law. 4. In a "Purge" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Purge situation, name three crimes you would commit. I'd bomb three spots that I'm not about to alert my FBI agent to. 5. Say you were the mayor/president/governor. What would you do to lower crime rates?. Abolish all laws and you'll get a 100% reduction. 6. Good or bad, what do you consider the most significant law passed in your state/country in the last ten years or so? Good: overturning the ban on gay marriage Bad: u.s. defense budget bills probably. The energy that used to be directed toward homophobic laws now being directed toward transphobic legislation also sucks but will go the same way imo. It'll probably happen decades too late though.

1. It's controlled...but I rarely choose to listen to news anymore 2. Not sure really... 3. Maybe deliberate deception...but then that would be hard to justify.. 4. shooting, bombing, stealing lol 5. I believe it all comes down to cultivating a culture of mind-discipline and finding resourceful outlets. (The devil makes work for idle hands) 6. I really just don't follow this topic area....I don't know much laws...but perhaps....age for smoking/drinking...some level of control has to exist? I realize this morning being much an ignoramus...when it comes to this |

1. What is the crime level like in your immediate area?
I'm in a small town called Statesville now so not that bad. They have a ghetto here called the "southside" which is pretty run down and impoverished and plenty of petty crimes/drugs/shootings... But not that many murders. Seems like the gangsters in this town have bad aim. I don't even live on the Southside though... I live in a lower income section close to downtown which is very safe and chill. I stayed at the shelter on the southside years ago though... Previously I was living in the hood part of Greensboro and there was a lot more activity there. There were some projects nearby that you were basically asking to get robbed if you went near them at night. None of the areas I've seen up here are anything close to as bad as the ghettos I lived in south Florida. And the funny part is the smaller the town the worse the reputation of the local ghetto so if you listened to the locals around here you'd think it was chiraq. 2. What criminal law do you think should be abolished? (Yeah we all know what 98% of respondents are going to put here, don't we?) I think it should be legal and consential for boys ages 14 and up to bang their milf teachers. 3. And what offence, currently not a crime, would you make one? Snitching 4. In a "Purge" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Purge situation, name three crimes you would commit. Honestly the real answer is probably just robbery... But the fun answer if i was trying to do terrorism... I would burn Cali to the ground. Dunno why terrorists haven't taken this tactic. Such an easy state to burn accidentally... Imagine the destruction your could wreak with an intentionally orchestrated fire. Get some of those farmer planes that spray cropdust and lay down a nice dusting of kerosene or something like that... Fill the sewer with gasoline... Set that bitch ablaze. Could easily top 9/11 with properly orchestrated fire terror. 5. Say you were the mayor/president/governor. What would you do to lower crime rates?. Estrogen in the water supply. 6. Good or bad, what do you consider the most significant law passed in your state/country in the last ten years or so? Gay marriage I guess... Or maybe the legal weed states where you can get gummies |

1. What is the crime level like in your immediate area?
It's either very quiet or I don't get to hear about it. we did have the house next-door-but-one have a pipe bomb thrown at it (almost misstyped there and wrote "pope bomb"! Can you imagine? How Monty Python!) and next door many years ago got shot up (said it was a case of mistaken identity), also I can see the house of what is apparently a well-known drug dealer from my house. And there have been people gunned down in the area, mostly to do with drug debts/gangs. Other than that, as I say, very quiet. 2. What criminal law do you think should be abolished? (Yeah we all know what 98% of respondents are going to put here, don't we?) Downloading copyrighted material 3. And what offence, currently not a crime, would you make one? People starting sentences with the word "so". God damn you all!! 4. In a "Purge" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Purge situation, name three crimes you would commit. Mucho robbery, find a way to blow something up and walk on the grass, in defiance of the signs! 5. Say you were the mayor/president/governor. What would you do to lower crime rates?. Make everyone in the world taller 6. Good or bad, what do you consider the most significant law passed in your state/country in the last ten years or so? Samesex marriage, no question. Followed by the Good Friday Agreement.

As the general idea is to try to return the discussion back towards the subject of the first word in the forum name, this week's theme is GIGS.
1. What was the best gig you were ever at, and why? 2. And the worst? 3. Who have you never seen live, who you would wish to? 4. What's the absolute max you would pay for a ticket, and to see whom? 5. What do you generally buy at gigs, if anything (t-shirt, CD, poster etc)? 6. What is/was your favourite venue, and why? Bonus question: What is your opinion of the use of holograms of dead stars at gigs?

1. What was the best gig you were ever at, and why?
As a complete experience, the best was the Breeders. It just had the perfect atmosphere. It was the kind of gig where the fact that they're old doesn't make things any weaker, just more moving. The most typical moment was when they did Driving on 9 and Kim was like 'we have no one who can play the violin with us so Kelley is gonna sing the solo' and she did like an absolute legend. 2. And the worst? When I was 15 or something some friends dragged me to a Kings Day festival (that horrid Dutch orange holiday) and the performances there were the worst I've even seen. Never went to one of those again. 3. Who have you never seen live, who you would wish to? Many people. Now that I'm starting to like jazz I want a jazz gig experience, seeing Mary Halvorson live would be awesome 4. What's the absolute max you would pay for a ticket, and to see whom? I paid about 50 euros for Patti Smith once, worth it but that's definitely my max 5. What do you generally buy at gigs, if anything (t-shirt, CD, poster etc)? T-shirts if I like them 6. What is/was your favourite venue, and why? Paradiso and Bitterzoet I guess, both in Amsterdam Bonus question: What is your opinion of the use of holograms of dead stars at gigs? Maybe it gives people closure or something so then good for them, but I'd say let the dead be dead
