1. Do you have an exercise regime?
I participate in a fitness instructor-led exercise group sponsored by my office, usually 2 – 3 sessions per week. I’ll do sit-ups and push-ups at random and I usually try to walk everywhere and not use the car if i can avoid it. I love taking long walks but haven’t done so very often during the pandemic; wearing the mask during long walks makes me feel like I’m suffocating. I frequently use the stairs in our building rather than the elevator, unless I’m carrying heavy bags. A friend and I started playing outdoor tennis again pre-Covid and I really miss that. 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? No, luckily. 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? Video visit with my psychiatrist last week, a 3-month check-in and to renew anxiety medication. 4. Ever been hospitalised? Yes – twice for giving birth (both times by C-section); was hospitalized for a few days to arrest premature labor with my son; and I was hospitalized as a child due to pneumonia. 5. What's your alcohol intake like? Very infrequent; pre-pandemic, I drank socially but lightly – I have to watch it with alcohol, because I get sad when I drink. When I do drink, the Anglophile in me loves ales and stouts, particularly Samuel Smith’s oatmeal stout and chocolate stout – yum! Wine makes me queasy but I like the occasional artsy cocktail. 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. My palate has an affinity for going back and forth between salty and sweet; soft salty pretzels and After Eight dinner mints are my weakness. |

1. Do you have an exercise regime?
The only exercise I get is jumping to conclusions! 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? Not yet, thank the Great Pixie. 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? Last year, for a painful (very painful) and unsightly dose of the Shingles. If you don't know what it is, or have never had it, think yourself lucky. 4. Ever been hospitalised? I've seen the inside of Beaumont Hospital so much I could probably draw a map from memory, but personally I have never had to stay in it or any other hospital. I've been lucky that way. Maybe all the bad luck has been somehow attracted to Karen, not that I would ever think of paying a strange old woman to put a curse on her, absolutely not that is a scandalous accusation and I will see you in court. 5. What's your alcohol intake like? Zero. I don't say I don't drink - I have had the (very) odd lager or ale, but I think the last time I had an alcoholic drink was maybe 10/12 years ago? And no, I don't drink wine. I don't like it. 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. I eat far too much fried food but In fairness to me, I haven't done so for about ten years and only re-purchased a deep fat fryer last month, so I got a lot of ground to make up. Who made up these questions? They're really crap. I could have pulled a better set of questions out of my aaaaahhhhh wait....

1. Do you have an exercise regime?
I used to but it's reduced to 90 pushups a day and a long walk for at least 3 miles, daily. 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? No. But when you find it difficult to do simple things that you didn't even think about 20 years prior you hardly need a diagnosis. 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? Early January. 4. Ever been hospitalised? When I dropped. Not since then (though I've walked in a few times for various maladies). 5. What's your alcohol intake like? A beer every few weeks. I keep a bottle of rum in the house and dip into it on occasion. 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. Procrastinate.

I was thinking of all sorts of possibilities, but not the most logical one.

1. Do you have an exercise regime?
I go in waves on this. It’s very hard to keep myself motivated in the winter. But when it’s nice out I play tennis and basketball every week. My wife recently became a part time fitness instructor at our local YMCA and she’s getting me on this exercise class things lately that have been a lot of fun 2. Have you ever been diagnosed with anything serious that made you change your lifestyle/scared the **** out of you? Thankfully no 3. When last did you see the doctor (for Covid reasons, this includes video visit)? Last April or so for a really brutal ear infection 4. Ever been hospitalised? No but I was close once. Some douche jumped in front of me while driving to the basket during a pickup game and my knee went the wrong direction. We couldn’t tell how serious it was. People talked about calling an ambulance but I begged them not to and had my brother drive me out there. We considered going to a hospital but at the time (hell even now too) I was just too scared of the financial investment. So I went home and rested it as best I could and then saw someone at a cheaper urgent care clinic the next day. Torn miniscus 5. What's your alcohol intake like? 3-4 “drinks” on average roughly 3-4 nights a week 6. Name one thing you do that you know is not healthy, but you do it anyway and have little to no intention of stopping. Smoking weed almost daily
